This Milwaukee M12 FUEL Stubby impact is seriously impressive for how small it is. The compact design makes it perfect for tight spaces, but don’t let the size fool you—it delivers plenty of power for automotive and shop work. It feels well-balanced in the hand and is comfortable to use for longer jobs without fatigue. The trigger response is smooth and easy to control, and the different speed/mode settings make it versatile for everything from lighter tasks to stubborn fasteners. Battery life has been solid with my M12 batteries, and it doesn’t bog down under normal use. I’ve used it for lug nuts, suspension components, and general maintenance, and it performs consistently without overheating or struggling. Build quality is exactly what you’d expect from Milwaukee—durable, solid, and clearly made to last. Overall, this is an excellent tool for anyone who wants strong performance in a compact, easy-to-handle impact. A great addition to any garage or professional setup.

Honestly I've been an air tool hold out. Finally got this tool as I'd watched a load of videos on it and it appeared to work well doing mechanic work and had the bonus of NOT having the air hose draped everywhere and it is smaller in length than my trusted Snap-On 3/8 impact. I bought a couple of 5.0 High capacity batteries to use with it. From my viewing it appeared these were the ones to have. So, no comment yet on longevity, but can give you the stress test results after doing motor mounts on a Camry 2.4L. The good: No problem taking the lug nuts off. Had the tool on setting 3, but feel like it would have done it on setting 2. Took the nuts off the motor mounts no problem. Has nice fine control. By varying the trigger pressure you can run the tool slower. I set the tool on setting 1 and lightly pressed the trigger to remove the splash shield bolts. These just need spinning out, not high torque hammering out. Worked a treat (no digging the air ratchet out). This fine control came in handy as well as I hand started the nuts on each of the mounts and used the tool on setting 1 and light trigger pressure to just test run the nuts onto the mount bolts to ensure no issues before I installed them. Spun then on and off nice and slow and smooth. Installed the mounts using the tool and then went through and did the final tighten with the torque wrench. This impact made the job much faster, no issues with fatigue, no fighting the air hose and when all done I still had a full battery ready for the next job. Glad I bought it and would recommend! Some have issue with how the power is set. For me it was no problem. Put,in neutral and cycle the button to what I want and away we go. Not a big deal. The picky not so good on the tool. The direction button PERIOD! Needs to be higher on the tool body. I don't have super big hands and I found my hand naturally fit the handle so that there were times I'd accidentally pressed the button. Had to consciously ensure to hold the tool slightly lower down (not where my hand naturally fit) to avoid possibly pressing the button. May end up being a muscle memory deal through repeated use of the tool where it ends up a non issue, but did find it a little annoying during this first use. That's it. Rest of use, power, settings available, battery life etc. were all great! Super glad I finally bought one.
