Very Very disappointed, I purchased this item September 14 2015
Very Very disappointed, I purchased this item September 14 2015, I saw the great reviews and it was made by Snap-on (I love there products) how could I go wrong ...Unfortunately it's been less than a month and the pad is already compressed where my knees hit the pad. the rest of the pad is still thick but there is a complete product failure in the knee area. I would not recommend this product. Very upsetting, it was one of the best knee pads I ever had for the first couple of days.

A nice gadget with some important limitations that buyers need to understand
I bought this because 2 of my OTA locals are having a feud with DISH so they are off the satellite. It does work as advertised: hook up your OTA antenna, plug it into the Hopper, do a channel scan, and you can watch and record OTA TV at the Hopper and/or the Joeys. But it is not a complete replacement for your locals on DISH because it has some important limitations.First, if your locals are off the satellite, DISH will not provide program guide information for them, including on the OTA version of the channel. So if you want to set up DVR timers you have to find out what time the shows you want are airing from some other source, and manually program each one. Because there is no program guide info, series timers are also not possible. You have to set an individual timer for each episode you want to record. Finally, once they are recorded you can't tell what's what from your list of recordings, because they all have the same title (a message that the channel has been removed). It's important to note that this limitation does not apply if you locals are available on the DISH.Second, while it does provide an additional tuner (which is nice) there is only one OTA tuner. This means that you and someone in another room have to be watching the same thing if you are both watching OTA TV. For example, if one person is watching CBS OTA on the Hopper, and someone in another room tunes in ABC OTA on a Joey, the person watching CBS OTA will be interrupted. This also means that only one OTA channel can be recorded at a time, and if an OTA channel is being recorded no other OTA channels can be viewed without interrupting the recording. For these reasons, this device makes a good stopgap for when your locals are off the satellite because of a dispute with DISH, but it doesn't truly replace the DISH locals feed. So don't plan to drop your locals from DISH if you buy this, I'm sorry to say.

Worthwhile addition to my local package for my Hopper receiver
Works as advertised, just be sure to read other reviews on the limitations of this device before buying. I am in a fringe reception area of three markets for broadcast tv reception, so I use the DB8 antenna to pick up signals not offered in my zip code from DishNetwork. I was surprised to see that ALL broadcasting channels, even some obscure ones not offered in Dish or Directv packages, show up on my grid menu. However, these channels (such as "Grit" and "Comet") are not supplied with show listings, so recordings on them would have to be set up on timers manually. I added another 28 additional channels to my skimpy 4 channel Dish Network local package thanks to the USB tuner. I seem to be losing some high definition video quality, notably on a broadcast I receive from Huntington, WV of nearly continuous doppler radar coverage, but it is not noticeable on other channels. It is well worth not having to switch inputs back and forth while surfing channels.

SATA to IDE/PATA Converter Adapter. Good product. Simply and quickly installed. Worked perfectly!
I had an external DVD burner which wore out. I opened the case and the original DVD burner had an IDE connector. I bought a new burner with a SATA connector and I ordered this SATA to IDE/PATA Converter Adapter.Only the converter adapter is included. This is for use with the desktop pc size internal IDE burners and IDE hard drives. If you want to use this you would normally already have either a desktop or external case with the IDE ribbon cable and the old style power cable in that. My case had the old IDE style cable and all I had to do was verify there was enough room in the case for the addition of the adapter at the end of the burner I wanted to install to allow it to fit in the case. The instructions say it only works the one way, not the reverse. This was exactly what I wanted and the price was excellent. It arrived quickly and in a good envelope packaging for shipping. The entire installation consists of pushing the SATA side of the converter onto the SATA connector of the burner or hard drive, and then plugging in the IDE and power cables used with this type connection.I did this and finished installing my new burner into my external case, sealed the case, and plugged it into my pc. My computer immediately recognized the new hardware and it was ready to use in just a few seconds. I now have a nice new SATA burner to use inside my old but still functional external IDE connection case.I couldn't be happier with this transaction and the functionality of this inexpensive device. The picture showing the device and it's attachment to a SATA drive shows exactly what is done to use this nice little converter. I might buy a couple more for use in my other drives when the day comes that those burners also need replacing. A few years ago I had already put new replacement IDE connection burners into those cases and it's hard to find new drives with those connections now, but not yet impossible. If I have the converter handy I can just get a new SATA drive and easily swap it to replace a worn IDE drive.
