Reliable product - works as they claim
The product works perfectly and is completely reliable. I have been using this since over a month with my macbook air and pro and it works just fine. Great picture quality and sound quality when I connect it with my extended display. I think this should be an ideal substitute if you don't want to buy the original product.

Defective product. Seller said business has shut down. Not responding anymore
The product stopped working after a few days. Amazon customer care gave me the number of the seller. I contacted them and was told that the business has shut down. They disconnected the call and have stopped responding ever since. There's a 2 year warranty on the product but it seems like a lost cause now.

Nice Product
When i go full screen on External monitor the screen automatically goes to Night mode. This is one drawback which I found.. Otherwise, the interface between the laptop and external monitor is so smooth. No defects found in the connectivity

The cable works fine in the first use, the display on my mac is a little yellowish when i mirror the screen but works like a charm when I extend the display. Topped with a 2 yr warranty, This is a decent product.

It's great. But...
My review after 3 months usageI own a Mac Book Air 2013 model. I have purchased item to connect my external monitor. Everything works just fine ubtil you go on full screen while watching video. The screen suddenly turns yellowish (night mode) when character speaks and then returns to normal when not speaking.This wiered behaviour is not seen woth my Lenovo ThinkPad wjere I connect my same monitor via HDMI.So, if you are a frequent movie or video viewer, this converter function might irritate you.

Excellent product
Perfect hdmi connection with my macair 2013 11.6 - AV ok. No control on audio level from laptop and have to select hdmi input once laptop restarted or switched off- however I am happy that I can now connect my laptop to any size of led tv- thanks pruthvik and Amazon

Early Delivery and Nice Product
When I ordered the product on Aug 25th, it was scheduled for delivery on Sep 2. To my surprise, i received the item today (29th Aug) itself.Just connected and checked it and found to be working fine. Moreover this product comes with 2 years warranty.

Don't go for it if you are in a hurry.
The converter did not work at all. The monitor shows 'no signal', and macbook did not detect a monitor. And you can't request a refund. Only replacement available. So if you are in a hurry, you are at a risk if you order this product.
