Arrived in perfect condition, carefully packaged and shipped from Germany. I have several Staub pieces and they are all incredible. I use this little 12cm pot for a single serving of fresh home-made soup as it distributes heat evenly and does not eventually boil over when left on low simmer heat. I then eat my soup straight out of the pot with the same smallish wooden spoon I used to stir the pot (because wood will not scratch off the matt black porcelain coating inside the pot).One major reason I chose the 12cm size is because I can pick it up and turn it sideways with only one hand (using a potholder) in order to empty the contents without any fuss. I also use it to steam a smallish portion of vegetables by putting in just 5 mm (1/4 inch) of water then throwing in the veggies for just a few minutes, no strainer needed, then I drop a chunk of butter in the pot which melts instantly as i stir it, then I dump it all in bowl using only one hand.I just love this pot! It actually makes cooking fun. It's the perfect quick meal-for-one pot and is really beautiful. The grey colour is very pleasant and super-glossy. it looks much better in-person than in the photos.

I ordered 18cm for making asian soups (Chinese, Japanese and Korean styles). It's perfect for 2-3 servings. Everything is perfect about this pot. I mean PERFECT!

There may be a mistake in the product description. I ordered with Amazon/WarehouseDeals as the seller and received one "Mini" instead of the two stated in the product description. I still rated it high as it is standard Staub quality, but only half the expected quantity.

This was a gift for a friend who loves it for single serving morning oatmeal.

Comes with a metal handle (unlike Le Creusette). So I don't have to immediately replace the handle. The Staub is good to go - right out of the box. A perfect size for small dishes. I'd buy it again.
