Works well after a minor issue with the plug NOT going into the jack on the Radio far enough to make contact with the center pin.I had to remove some of the Yellow plastic from the end of the Charger Plug, so the Plug would go far enough into the jack on the Radio to contact the center pin.Works GREAT after I used sandpaper on my desktop and ran the Plug back and forth to remove about 1/16 of an inch or so of the Yellow plastic on the end of the Plug just before hitting the outside metal cylinder of the Plug.Now the Plug goes ALL the way into the side of the Radio and makes contact with the center pin.See attached photos, plug did not go all the way in, Plug after sanding off the Yellow plastic, plug going all the way in now!My radio is a very old FT-50R from the last millennium (before the year 2000) so the jack in the radio may be a little different than other Yaesu models.

I had misplaced my charger for my Yaesu aircraft band transceiver. This was exactly what I needed to charge it again.

Works well but not a genuine Yaesu Vertex product
Works well so far. I don't believe the description is totally accurate. It is listed as a Yaesu Vertex PA-48B / NC-86B Charger Adapter by Yaesu Vertex. It is actually a model HCX-081 no brand name made in China item and was shipped from Ceny Glo in Oakland, NY and should be listed as such. Considering what it actually is, it is very much over priced. Buyer should beware and be educated.

Good replacement power adapter for radios.
Bought as a replacement to my original adapter which I lost. It's significantly smaller and blocks less outlets, which is a nice bonus!

FINALLY we can recharge the radio once again.
Looks like this will do the job. We're happy to have found out about this. We can't plug any charger into the side of the radio as there's a piece of plastic broken off from prior charger in there and Vertex refused to repair. New batteries make it possible to plug into the battery directly for charging, so we can still use this well loved radio.

Finally a World Charger for World Class HAM Radios
Just what I wanted, a 50-60hz, 100-24VAC charger. Yaesu should only use a 50-60hz, 100-24VAC charger with their HTs, World Wide.
