This is my initial review of the petticoat. The wedding isn't for another 7 months, so I'll reserve final judgement until the dress is finished and ready for a final fitting. My initial thought is that it is a little short in the front. Granted, I am 5'11" with long legs, so we can chock it up to that. On me, the front of the lowest hoop is a few inches below the knee. So, if you're average-to-short, it will probably be fine. At any rate, it's long enough in the back and I don't have to worry about kicking or tripping on the front. So I guess it works out in my favor. Be aware that the fabric isn't the highest quality; but it's going to be under a dress and, most likely, only worn once. Therefore, I think it will hold up just fine. I think my biggest complaint would be that there were some minor holes and tears in both the base lining and the crinoline but I can patch those up quickly and easily...and, again, it's going under a ball gown.

Im not sure what to call a fair rating for this. I’m using this for my a-line wedding dress that has a court train and it works well for its intended purpose..... but I can’t say I’m very satisfied with the product because it doesn’t fit. I can get it on but I can fasten the Velcro’s or tie the waist cinch. It’s simply held up by my wide hips. nobody makes petticoats in a plus size so it’s not the most comfortable if you’re over a size 12 pants...unless you can handle unfastened Velcro scratching your hips raw anyway. I guess that’s just the woes of being a big person. By biggest complaint though is that this item smells absolulty PUTRID! I opened the package and now my entire house smells like fish flakes and artificial lemon. There is a satchet of lemon scented pellets in the bag I assume to help with the fishy odor but honestly it just made it worse. I don’t reccomend ordering this if you need it immediately. If you have weeks to let it air out and de-stink then maybe you’ll be good....
