We bought this as it was recommended to us from the dietician from the nursing home where mom was. She has chronic wounds on her legs - vascular ulcers - and she was miserable. The dietician started giving it to her 3x daily (although she drinks less at home), and it made her feel much better, and, although I can't attest to that being part of the recovery, her wounds became much cleaner. When mom was able to come home, I hadn't had any here - and after about a week of waiting for me to order them (ooops), SHE mentioned that she wanted it because she noticed a difference in how she felt. She loves the taste in both the Cherry AND orange flavored drinks. And if you new my mom. . . . her testimony is worth it's weight in gold!

We received the shipment very fast. My husband has a lower leg ulcer, drinking this product and taking horse chestnut seed extract is producing great results. Wound bed is healthy looking, good blood supply, and are finally seeing healing. Also wears a compression wrap.

My wife believes this is great way to assist her healing after foot surgery. Most protein adds extra calories, not what is needed with limited post-surgical inactivity. Only caution is get medical advice for kidney compromised individuals (dialysis or close to it) as extra nitrogen load may negatively offset benefits.

Excellent product. Helps in healing my pressure wound. I feel it provides a bit of extra energy.

The drink was recommended by a doctor to try but my only concern is it has Aspartame sweetener in it and I try not to use articfical sweeteners. The taste is good and I'll try it for 3 months as recommended instead of prescription drugs.

It mixes easily and apparently goes down without trouble but I did not realize when ordering that it contains approx. 2% aspartame which is known to promote brain tumors, seizures and many other side effects including the symptoms of Desert Storm Syndrome. Two of the three substances it breaks down into are wood alcohol and formaldehyde. Many people work very hard to avoid this ingredient. Our own son developed grand mal seizures from Aspartame. The product would fulfill the purposes for which it is purchased (and without the unwanted side effects) without this poisonous sweetener. The presence of Aspartame should be prominently noted in the information about the product prior to people's purchases.
