Works well
These adapters fit well into a GX24 socket. Some say they had sockets that didn't work. The four I received function well. It's a must to remove the ballast that powered the fluorescent bulb when these adapters are used to convert to a standard incandescent bulb or an LED that requires normal 120 volts. The E26 socket is the standard size that most bulbs are. These are not for the smaller candelabra bulbs with the smaller base light a nightlight bulb.

REQUIRES ELECTRICAL WIRING
Maybe I missed it, but I don't remember the item description talking about the amount of electrical wiring required to use this product.I had hoped it was simply 'plug and play"but it is not. You have to pull out your fixture from your ceiling and bypass the fluorescent ballast, and then reinstall the fixture and THEN snap this adapter into the socket. In my case, I cannot use these adapters at all, in that my fixture has a socket with an integral ballast built in. It would be easier for me to just replace the socket. So, be forewarned.

Don’t use with RGB Multicolor lights
The adapter was nice, but lacked the functionality and power delivery I needed. I wanted to put new RGB lights in my room and the adapter seemed to freak out with the lights whenever I turned them on or off. I don’t recommend for RGB multicolor lights but overall as an adapter they work just fine.

Lets you change from CFL to LED.
Yes, you have to bypass the ballast. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then don't buy this product. If you do feel comfortable doing it (or finding/paying someone who can), then get these and open yourself up to the breadth of possibilities that LEDs (or incandescents) allow. This product works great, and I'm installing them on every fixture where they fit in my house.

Won't Work with Smart Bulbs
Bought these to replace two cannister lights that were in my ceiling (live on base so i can't change my light fixture) with smart bulbs (e26). At first it wouldn't work at all, after about the 3rd attempt it killed the smart bulb (phillips hue) completely. Luckily i was able to get a replacement bulb, but now i'm gun shy about trying it again! would really like this feature, but don't want to kill bulbs in the process

Good Solution
I used these in bathroom can lights. I prefer an edison bulb base so I don't have to search for/special order something as simple as light bulbs. Took less than 10 minutes to modify existing fixture.

They don't work
I plugged an LED light in. It light for about 5 seconds and went out. Then I removed it and put the original bulb back. It did not work. I tried a couple hours later and the original bulb worked. I think the problem is there is a ballast for the florescent bulbs that came with the fixture. I believe this is incompatible with other bulbs.
