The Art of String Figures

All of the pictures depicting the instructions on how to do the finished figure are all in black and white making it hard to find the difference between the model’s hands and the string therefor making it hard to do the finished product. I am writing this review hoping the printers of this book will make it in color next time.Other than that I find the book really helpful and it gives a lot of them to do.

The instructions were confusing, even for my husband and I. It would be better if in the instructions they made the string you were supposed to use in the step darker or more prominent somehow. Instead they called them out with labels like f2, n3We got it for our kids to do and they gave up on it.

Book is actually fairly good.Photos/ diagrams are clear, but figures can be quite complicated.Be cognizant of the age and patience levelof intended user.

I'm pretty sure this book was supposed to come with a string and it did not. So I'm looking at a book and I can't do anything because there's no string. If you could send one that would be great 👍

This book was purchased for my daughter. It has all the originals I remember as a kid plus a lot more. The instructions are easy enough for a 9 year old to understand and complete.

While the book has lots of good ideas, it was really too complicated for our 6-year-old (and I didn't have the patience for it).

i sent it back it is too difficult.

The book is good however the string broke the very first time my daughter played with it. Super disappointed.
