ちゃんとした製品
FTDI 社の FT232RL を使用した USB －シリアル（TTL）変換ケーブルでした。 USB 側に LED が付いており、接続、アクセス時に光ので分かりやすいです。 Cisco の VPN ルーターのコンソール接続用に買いました。 問題なく使えています。

FortiGateの製品をターミナル接続出来ました。
FortiGate の製品をはじめてターミナル接続するので心配していましたが、無事TeraTerm 接続出来ました。

使い勝手はごく普通です
Windows10Pro+Tera Term、RLoginの環境で 最近のシスコやヤマハのRTXシリーズでも問題なく使えました。 コンソールケーブルが不要な機器が増えてきましたが まだまだ使い道はありますのでNWエンジニアなら職場、 自宅用(帰宅後・休日時の障害発生に備えて)にと複数持っておくのが吉かと。

ルーターに
USBからシリアル変換してコンソールへとつないでましたが、この製品なら一つでつながるし問題なく使えますのでいいですね。値段も最高です。

FTDIチップとして正常に認識されました
FTDIチップを使用していると書かれていた通り、ドライバを特にインストールする必要もなくWindows10の標準ドライバで正常にインストールされました。

別の商品が届いたので返品しました
写真と異なる上にどこのメーカーなのかも分からない商品が届いたので返品しました。 せめて爪折れ防止カバー付きだったら返品せず済んだのに残念です。 一応Ciscoルータで問題なく使えたので星は2個にしておきます。

商品写真にあるCDがない。ドライバがないのでインストールできない。返品しかない。

Since this is not a cable you use everyday but only when you need to debug a switch firewall etc when you're in trouble this is the cable you need, well at least if your switch firewall has an rj45 serial port. Since this cable is in general used sporadic it also comes with good protections. Windows doesn't recognise the serial out of the box and you need to insist a little with windowsupdate. But then it works

It worked perfectly and replaced one that claimed it was a console cable but didn't work at all!

does what it is meant to do and looks well built.

Worked only once then hasn't worked again. Checked on Amazon and the product is no longer available, even though these items area used by computer techs everyday. Leads me to beleive they were ALL faulty, Not happy, lost allot of time over this issue now and productivity.

Flashes on send & receive so you know what's going on. No drivers needed. Worked straight out of the box on Windows10.
