Undeniably the best laptop I've ever had
Pretty much everything about this laptop exceeds my expectations. It weighs a third as much as my old laptop. It has better battery life. It has more USB ports, and my favorite thing? The Thunderbolt USB-C port! The SSD really makes a difference in performance. OSB took over a minute to load and get to the ready state on my old laptop. On this laptop it takes about 5 seconds. I would love for the SSD to have more capacity, but I have a 5 bay hard drive enclosure with 50 terabytes attached to the Thunderbolt port, so I have lots of storage space. The display is crisp, clear and clean, and it supports the enhanced color scheme. The characters are a bit small, but once you get used to it, they are very readable. I ordered the excellent condition version. The first one had significant keyboard problems. The replacement is up to my expectations - and more. The Thunderbolt port is a game changer. I can back up my 8 terabyte movie library in 3 1/2 hours. It took 31 hours for the same job on my old laptop. That's HUGE! Everything runs faster when your storage systems perform better, and that's a fact!On the issue of battery life, you have to manually change the computer's performance on battery to get the best battery life. On the default setting of maximum you get 2 to 3 hours. On the minimum setting I'm getting a full 7 hours on battery, which ain't bad!I'm in the hardest hit area of the northwest corner of NC. Hurricane Helene took out our power, internet, the roads, the bridge to town and a lot more. No TV!!! Luckily, I had lots of movies on disk, and I've used the "cast to device" feature to show movies and recorded TV shows to my family. We are all still hurting from no internet, but this laptop has helped a lot with the cabin fever! This renewed laptop has been a blessing, for sure. It is keeping us sane while the world outside our door is insane from Hurricane Helene! It is a great performer, and it is so light I take it everywhere. I can connect to the internet using my smartphone's hotspot feature for short times. I'm almost at my data limit, so I'm being stingy, but I've been able to at least check the news and see what other hurricane victims in my area are able to do.I heartily recommend this laptop to one and all!! It is a 5 star performer, and they did a really great job of renewing it! And, no, I didn't get it for free on Vines. I paid for it. I found the price reasonable. I actually hated returning the first one! I just might buy another one because this laptop is so good!

Great value
Machine looks fresh and clean. Runs well so far and does the job at an affordable price. Will consider refurbished machines going forward to my projects.

You need to do significant research before you buy an Amazon refurbished.... anything.
This is my second purchase from Amazon on a Dell Latitude 7400 series referbished laptop. I really like the Dell Latitude their small size, I7 Intel processor and the amount of ram they can handle. Perfect for what I need. Unfortunately, my first Amazon Dell Latitude 7490 only lasted for 7 months. I was disappointed but considered that it was refurbished and possibly had some previous problems - that's the chance you take when you buy a referb... I decided to purchase another in September 2024. Surely you can't get two duds in a row?? Yes you can!! The second purchase was $237.00 and it was a 7480 Dell Latitude. The second one lasted 6 months before it started having problems. I can start it and run it for about 5-10 minutes and then it locks up and shuts down. I ran DISM commands to see if I could locate the problem, no results. In some of the Dell diagnostic programs it suggested that it had a problem with the ssd hard drives that were installed for the refurbish. I ran down the conflicts but Dell had no solutions. I am now thinking that I should convert it to a Chromebook or Linux Mint so I can at least still use it. I hope it lasts more than 6 months on the new operating system. I've always really liked Dell products because of the engineering and thought consideration for each user for any job application. I guess I'll have to change my mind about 1. referbs, 2. Dell, 3. Amazon.

Great Laptop, not so good battery
After doing quite abit of research whether to buy new or refurbished I decided on this renewed laptop. The specs are very good. I ordered the "Excellent" condition laptop to try and guarantee the best product. The laptop arrived in excellent condition. After unboxing the laptop it is in "Excellent" condition. From all appearances it doesn't appear to have been used at all. I spent parts of two days getting it setup, programs installed, files moved from our previous laptop. Since battery life is a critical issue I was paying attention to the charge level while using it this morning. For 2 hrs 30 min this morning the battery went from 80% to 50%. Then within the next 4 mins it plunged to 7%. Not good. A refund/replacement is available. But given the time spent I will wait a couple of days before deciding. A replacement battery might be the best/easiest solution but at this time I believe either Amazon or the Renewing Company should be providing it.

Great replacement computer
This laptop was perfect in that it is fast, powerful and lightweight. It allows us to do daily computing tasks such word docs, charts, and spreadsheet calculations. The laptop was received in a brand new condition. No scratches or blemishes. I was going to purchase a brand new home edition laptop, but so glad I chose this renewed business laptop from the IT Supply Guy.

A really good computer for the price
This is a really good computer for the price. The display is crisp and bright, everything is working as it should and the computer is booting up pretty good. I love it.Edit 1: I see some people making comments about the Thunderbolt 3 connectivity. I was having trouble connecting my Apollo Twin Audio Inteface (which is what I bought this laptop to use in the first place), but quickly learnt that I had to turn on Thunderbolt connectivity in my Bios. For those persons saying that they are not getting to use their Thunderbolt devices, you need to turn this on in the Bios at startup, and turn off the security feature in the Bios because this tells Windows to disconnect your device automatically for security reasons without alerting you.
