One of the best of the late 90s teen slashers
This movie is super cheesy but itβs such a classic.

The special features make the movie better!
I enjoyed the movie when I watched it (aside from plot issues that arise when the killer is reveled) but the wealth of special features on the Shout Factory Blu-ray made me love the movie. Itβs clear everyone involved was proud of it (Joshua Jackson is sadly absent) and had fun making it. They also have such respect for each other, but not in a sickening way. They are always genuine. The special features are exhaustive and plentiful and truly enhanced my feelings about the flick.I initially saw it back when I was in college and I remember having the same misgivings about it, but especially after watching all the special features I have a renewed respect for what they pulled off. This isnβt a bad movie at all. Itβs not perfect, but it comes pretty close!

The Decade that ...... was
Can you believe that it has been since 1998 when this movie hit the theater's..? That's more than 20-something years back..! Where did the 1990's go..... Natasha Wagner appears in the opening sequence as the first victim... Gone are the days of 1.94 a gallon gas. Ms. Wagner is the daughter of one of "Old Hollywood's" .. greatest "Child,Teen and Adult" movie stars . Natalie Wood... that pixie cut she wore in the movie... makes her resemble her mother during her hey day ...when she appeared with the late James Dean. Jared Leto ...went on to become a rocker and a Academy award winning actor for his work in the "Dallas Buyers Club".... Loretta Devine we know from "Waiting to Exhale" , Danielle Harris " Halloween -Micheal Myer's " franchises . Robert Englund from "Night-mare on Elm street"... Rebecca Gayheart ...who's career is in the toilet ....and currently in Divorce preceding from actor Eric Dane. The movie is really spine tingling ...but not as gruesome as some other's from the 1980's. The cast makes it a favorite at "Halloween" that you can watch with friends. It still holds up after all these years...

this is a horror classic, and more people should buy it
not sure what grade i was in but it was before high school, i saw this movie and it really scares me. not to many films do that. i still check to see if there is someone in the back set of the car. i watched this movie so much that my VHS copy died, and now i'm so happy that they put it on blu ray. one day if i have kids i'm going to pass it on to them. so if you love horror movies, this is a top gem you should own.

Great Post Scream Slasher Film of the 90s
I am a hardcore slasher movie fan. I remember when Scream redefined the genre in 1996 many other slashers started appearing. The first I Know What You Did Last Summer was good and Urban Legend followed in 1998. I used to watch these three a lot as a kid. It had a great plot teenagers being killed off due to Urban Legends. The ending was great too. As far as the cast goes. Alicia Witt was horribly miscast as the female lead. Witt is a good actress but doesn't quite fit here. Rebecca Gayheart gave the best performance in the movie in my opinion. I think she stepped it up. Jared Leto did good here. I liked him in Switchback. His acting was not phenomenal but certainly helped the movie. Loretta Devine gave this movie a boost playing a likable supporting character that you care about. Tara Reid wasn't good. Michael Rosenbaum is a very good actor but here it felt like he was directed to clone Matthew Lilard's character from Scream. Appearances by horror icons Robert Englund, Brad Douriff and Danielle Harris are a treat for die hard horror movie fans. Englund has the largest part of the three. Watching this movie again I wish they have had given Danielle Harris the lead I am glad she has appeared in many recent horror movies after taking a vacation. Like Scream you spend time trying to guess the killer. That is part of what makes the slashers fun. Urban Legend is a fun horror movie with good acting and very nostalgic of those who grew up in the 90s. Urban Legend is certainly better than some of the slashers that come out today like Mr. Hush and Smiley. So give it a try! Have a great day!

I enjoyed it, classic 90s teenage horror film
I enjoyed it, classic 90s teenage horror film. A bit like Scream but different killer. I don't know about DVD but picture look good on blu ray, good storyline and well acted by everyone. There's Jared Leto, Joshua Jackson, Tara Reid, Alicia Witt, Rebecca Gayheart, and of course Robert Englund among a few more. Good cast that made good film. It is a film that is typically for Halloween night in for teenagers.I cant believe I got it for only few pound on Blu Ray when the price is about the same for DVD. Of course its region free so that's why its not a lot of money. Get it while its cheap as DVD. It's got High Definition as well as subtitles in many different languages. No problem with delivery.

Silly film in which a killer re-enacts urban legends, ...
Silly film in which a killer re-enacts urban legends, still switch the brain off time and rather amusing with the unintended comedy at times,
