Wera - 5059297001 Kraftform Kompakt 62 Bitholding Screwdriver and Pouch Set, 33-Pieces

I have been using precision tools for many years. My favorite set for quite some time has been my Wiha ESD precision Drive-Loc set. It is impeccably crafted and has sent all my other precision screwdrivers to the bottom of my toolbox.This Wera set on the other hand might just make me a convert! I started with a Wera Kraftform Kompakt and was well impressed with the design so I gave it to a dear friend who was an engineer before he retired. This set has every bit you could possibly want and more! Some of these bits I have wanted for quite some time but have not had a set of any tool that had them. What I like about the Wera design as opposed to the Wiha design is that Wera uses a 1/4" drive system with quick release bit holders on all their standard drivers. This means that you can use any bit from any manufacturer in them. I can use my drill extensions if I needed to. I love the heavy-duty pouch because it folds out into 3 pages of bits making them all accessible without having to take anything but the handle and desired bit out of the holster. These bits will fit other 1/4" drive systems and drills. The handle and bits are both German made and high quality. You get what you pay for people!!!Once you put one of these Wera Kraftform drivers in your hand you will understand why every other screwdriver is just simply a joke. My favorite Klein has just taken a backseat to my new Wera sets.There is one thing that this set lacks and that is an assortment of smaller slotted and Phillips-head bits. There are the standard sizes but if you think you are doing any intricate work with these blades for any standard application you might want to consider the Wiha Drive-Loc system I explained earlier. Nothing will replace that set that I have found for intricate electronic work. It is simply just the best set money can buy.If you can't afford to drop the loot on this extravagant set then please by all means change your tooling world and try one of the other Wera German made hand tools. Your knuckles, fingers, nut corners, and screw heads will all be singing your praise you beautiful technician, you!

High quality tool set, worth every penny. I'm using these tools for several years now, never had to replace anything, very well-made.

This is a nice quality set of bits and handle. It has a great range of bits to fit a wide range of screws. The handle is nice and comfortable. The case is well designed. Honestly this is a really great kit!

This is one of the best tool sets I own. I’m not a fan of the bit mix it comes with but the kit is a great idea. I travel with it in the car and it covers so many of my diy needs. Now about the bits, I removed some of the tri-wing and quad-wing bits and replaced them with more slotted, a 00 philips and a T6 bit. Look for 89mm and 90mm bits to match the set. Wiha also makes compatible bits.

This is my daily set now, I wear it on my belt. I've got the order of the bits memorized and don't have to look to grab what I want. I never not have it on me and don't see myself looking for a different kit any time soon unless they upgrade this one.Four stars because I think it can be improved.1. They need a narrower flathead bit. The one they have is fine for most standard uses but I would like one to use for really small screws. Also, it's too thick for standard switch plates or outlet covers, it barely fits in the screw and damages the paint. It doesn't feel right hitting this with a bench grinder yet.2. I keep my 1/4 x 5/16 magnetic nutsetter bit in the pouch as well, but this should come with a set of nutsetters. They could replace the tri-wings, which I have no use for.3. Sometimes I want a scraper. Would be fantastic to have a bit that held a razor blade, you may have to re-think the pouch a bit to accommodate it.

This is a perfect screwdriver kit to toss in the home handyman bag or keep on the bench in basement workshop. Has everything you will need and more when fussing with a variety of toys and then some. Really nice to have a full size screwdriver with a round shank to get into deeper, tight fitting screw holes (e.g. TV panels, other electronics). The case itself is a great feature - replace some of the less used driver bits with others that are more day-to-day, fantastic package.Bit fit is snug into the handle with very little wobble, feels solid even when working on screws that are reluctant to give. There is a square portion of the bit exposed below the handle, so you can toss on a small wrench to get that little extra torque. Or keep a T-handle nearby for a bit more turning power.

This kit has the most bits I've ever had in any kit for less than a $100. Very practical size and weight, perfect fit for a belt. I'm enjoying this kit so much that I'll buy 2 more as a gift for my dad and a friend.
