This thing is absolutely horrible. Adjusting the grind dial? Easy. Reading the tiny numbers to see which setting its on? Impossible without a magnifying glass and ultra bright lighting. Same goes for the time adjustable power button. Which is not a huge complaint, cuz you're likely to set it once and leave it right? Sure, that's assuming it grinds the beans, but it fails there too. The only way to get it to grind (regardless of the setting - fine or coarse) was to continually smack it so the beans don't get stuck. Maybe I got a lemon, but for this price point I was extremely disappointed.

I was tired of cleaning up the huge mess of grinds that My Kitchen Aid coffee grinder made after each and every use. When I started to look for a replacement and found this SMEG and read all about its attributes, I feel like I hit gold. Not only does it look great sitting on the counter, it also has a very high quality feel and does not feel like a cheap toy. It premeasures each grind for the pot size along with the coarseness of the grinds, so no more little measuring spoon. Just dump the collector bin in your coffee filter and you're set. Besides making the grinding process very easy, it grinds the right amount perfectly and it doesn't spill a single grind on the counter!
