It'll do the job.
Used this for a chipped area on glass stove top at middle of left side edge. I was unsure of buying. Some said it smelled up whole room, some said it was expensive for small bottle, some said it didn't work. I figured it was worth a try considering the price of a new stove top. Mine had a warming spot that really will cook something already warmed & a bridge shaped like a bow tie for a griddle. Expensive to replace. This product was easy to use, wasn't any worse than a spray paint smell, went on easily, & seems to be doing a great job. There is way, way more than you'll ever need in this small bottle with brush attached. Goes on like nail polish. Now I feel stupid for being so apprehensive. I read reviews, got different tips that I advise. Put wax paper underneath, tape it under & above area skin paper doesn't come out from under. Do one coat at a time & be patient. Let it dry between coats. It will fill in crevices leaving a shiny smooth finish. So glad I tried. Ignore the naysayers. I wasn't paid for review or given product for free.

Perfect for fixing an induction stove top.
Wife dropped a full (and hot) canning jar onto the edge of our induction stovetop. Big chip and a couple of hairline cracks. Thought that we were going to have to replace a $1500 stovetop. I use this 'fix' to fill in the chip and bind the stovetop together to stop the cracks from getting bigger. Applied several layers over about a week - just small layer and let dry. The finish isn't 'perfect' - there are some ripples and lumps that I couldn't do anything with. I did not use sandpaper on the final finish as it's nice and glossy and matched the stovetop perfectly. After a couple of months, nobody notices the damage - it cleans up along with the rest of the stovetop and blends in well. Unless you're looking for it, you would never really know it was chipped. The product says high heat but our stove top doesn't get really hot so I cannot vouch for how it would perform on a regular glass stove top

Pretty Much Works...
I was so upset when I dropped a knife off a cutting board and it chipped off part of our brand new oven. This is a solid solution to filling in the gap, but the color and shine are just a little off so it is still noticeable when you know what you are looking for. I'm sure if I didn't say anything no one would take notice to it at this point, but it does an okay job filling in the chipped gap. Just make sure to give it enough time to dry in between coats.

Does the job, but hoped for better
After dropping a pan on the corner of my black glass cooktop, it spider cracked. Just the corner, not near a heating surface, seemed like a great opportunity to give Porc-A-Fix a try. While it mostly worked, it wasn't quite what I was hoping. First, the product seems quite thin. Not much thicker than nail polish really, which is exactly what it felt like - applying black nail polish. It needed many, many coats. It's also not quite as seamless as I'd hoped. Even after much sanding, then using an orbital buffer with rubbing compound followed by polishing compound, it's still very obvious where the fix begins and ends. See the attached photo. Don't get me wrong, it looks way better than it did cracked, and seems structurally fine. I was hoping for a "like it never even happened" outcome though, and that's not what this provided. Still, it beats buying an entirely new range, so there's that.It provided an acceptable outcome, not an ideal one.

NOT FOR HIGH HEAT!!! Can’t get refund.
This product absolutely DOES NOT work as described. Tried using it to repair a chip in an electric glass stove top. Took our time applying multiple layers to fill the chip in the surface of the top which is in the perimeter of one of the below glass heating elements. After applying multiple layers, allowing each to dry for 24 hours, taking over a week to to so, we then sanded as directed. We waited, as directed, 48 hours after the final coat to turn on the element. Within seconds of turning the element on the filled in chip began to liquify and bubble. We turned the power off fearing that it may burst. Also please note that when you sand the product it loses its black glossy finish, becoming a flat gray. Not sure how we’re going to remove it now. Plus, YOU CANNOT RETURN THIS PRODUCT!! Buyer beware!

Apply multiple layers
I made 2 repairs at my home that turned out perfect. I bought this product hoping to repair 2 large chips in the finish of my new Pit Barrel Cooker lid before it started to rust. It worked so well that my wife wanted to try it out with a repair to our stove top in the kitchen. One small chip and a scratch, they are both completely gone. Layer the coats, don't try and fill the whole chip on one pass. Sand if needed then re-apply till you build it up to match the surrounding area. Dries super shiny and porcelain hard. This is a good product.

Chip is gone
I purchased this product after I tipped a glass bottle over and it hit the edge of my black stovetop and chipped it. I was sick over the way this made my beautiful stovetop look. The chip was about an inch and looked like it could not be fixed.I brushed a small amount onto this chip, enough to fill the area and waited for it to dry. The chip is virtually gone. Even I have to look for it. No one can see it and I couldn't be happier. The product is easy to use, just go slow and do not over use. When you have it on nice, leave it alone.

Porcelain Touch Up Kit Fails
I had much less than a satisfactory experience with this. I will say the merchant selling it did an outstanding job of resolving the issue. I returned the product and was promptly given a refund. The issue was nothing the merchant was responsible for as far as I could tell. When I opened the sealed bottle, I found the liquid to be unusable. It was essentially dried up and what little I could get out of the bottle looked like dried paste. This may have just been a fluke but I did not make a request for a second bottle.
