This mechanics matt is perfect. It is lightweight, rolls up easily and is compact and has ribbed design for movement and ease on the ground. It is incredibly comfortable and superior to a creeper as it saves height and stores in a small space. I have worked on cars for over 40 years, and I think that this is the single best product I have bought from amazon by far. The value and price were superb. Six Stars - well done Traxion!

Best work mat I’ve owned! I work in a service truck and honestly it’s been holding up through alot. Easy storing and doesn’t take much space when rolled up. It’s actually really comfortable and durable especially on different types of loose gravel. If you do mobile field work it’s definitely a must have.

I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable this was given how compact it is when rolled up as well as how little vertical space it consumes when in use (leaving more headroom for underneath the vehicle). I looked carefully at thin, double layered mats that slide when moving front to back but decided on this mat simply for comfort reasons...especially when used on non-smooth surfaces such as gravel, etc. The first thing I did, of course, when it arrived was to try it out. Frankly, it performed considerably better than what I had expected and that made me even more thankful that I chose this mat over the thinner mats which have virtually zero padding. I was also surprised at how easy it was to slide around on. It doesn't slide along with you as the "slider" mats (or creepers) do but adjusting position every once in a while is no big deal (and besides, don't think you don't have to adjust the "sliders" as well when moving from side to side vs. front to back). Material is easy to clean and heavy duty enough to promise a nice long life. I will be using it on a regular basis as well as storing in my vehicle when not in use.

This makes getting under my 1966 Mustang a lot easier and comfortable, and will be especially so as the temperatures drop. Makes a great pad for kneeling on also. My only nitpick is I wish there was an option of a bigger size, but this is definitely very useable and so much better than a sheet of cardboard. Highly recommend. UPDATE: Taking 1 star off for causing 2 weeks of worry and stress, read on... For the last couple weeks or so, I've noticed a really strong chemical smell when I go into my garage. I'd recently applied garage door lube to my main 2 bay door - which I now realize was about the same time I bought this mat - and for a while, I just dismissed it. Not ideal, but I thought it would dissipate eventually. Well, the smell got stronger. It got into my walk in pantry which is off the garage. I investigated by sniffing my garage door hardware - I know, very scientific - and also the residue on the spray can. Nothing. As of a few days ago, I noticed the smell was now noticeable in my home's upper level, coming in through an HVAC duct in the ceiling between my bedroom and a bathroom. At this point, I'm starting to get a bit concerned for my health, and several times I paced around in my garage, sniffing, looking for open containers, solvent spills of any kind. This went one for several days. Again, nothing. Finally yesterday, I noticed that the smell was more noticeable around the hood of my 66 Mustang. After a few minutes of touching the motor in various places and having a sniff, and finding nothing, my gaze fell upon this mat. I picked it up and took a sniff, and there it was, the culprit. Just to be sure, I rolled it up and put it outside on my porch, and lo and behold, the smell has gone.. Huge feeling of relief and yet annoyance. I should add that I've owned the mat about 3 weeks at this point and only used it once, to change out the oil my my Mustang and there were no spills of any kind on it, nor underneath it. This mat works great for it's intended purpose, but just beware, it off-gasses like crazy and you would probably want to keep it away from your home HVAC.

Great pad for laying on a hard concrete floor. Much easier to store than foam mats when not in use.

I purchased for my dad for Christmas, he used it the following day to do work on our car, it's lightweight, easy to move around, with that being said, if it's windy, it will need held down if you're not on it. It was comfortable for him to sit or kneel. Only downside was it kept curling up from being rolled, but it was a nice upgrade from the packing foam he was using.

I did a 5 hour job using this roll, and I was VERY happy to have had it. I’ve since used it a few more times and it’s been a great pick up. This length and width will work well for most folks; I wouldn’t want anything smaller. For the size of the roll, the padding is very good.

Great mat, has been used lots to keep me insulated and protected while repairing equipment. Rolls up compact and easy to put away. I would buy again

As a diesel Mechanic I use this mat every day and it's held up great. Good for kneeling or laying on. I've spilled oil, grease, fuel on it, burnt it with sparks from grinding and torching. It gets walked on constantly when I'm too lazy to move it. Light weight, good for rolling it up and hanging from my service cart so it's always ready. One of the elastic loops snapped, but that just happens with heavy use. Glad I got this, I'll replace it if it ever becomes unusable!

This mat has been working very well for me. It doesn’t take up a lot of space in my truck and conforms well to most situations. The fact that I can bend it, fold it and lay it on any uneven surface makes it very versatile. When it gets dirty or greasy/oily, I was wash it off and hand it off the back of my truck to dry. 100% recommend.
