Star Wars: Darth Vader: Dark Lord Of The Sith Vol. 4 - Fortress Vader

Really like this comicbook. Arrives in good shape.

I’ve always been a HUGE star wars fan but something about Darth Vader has always been so interesting to me. I started looking into comics about him to go more in depth about what it is he truly seeks and what it was like for him being the new apprentice of the emperor. This entire Charles Soule run was spot on incredible, shows how incredibly powerful darth vader is, also shows small parts of Anakins remains still within Vader. Another detail i loved was, the entire run takes place right after Vaders infamous NOOOOO in Revenge of the Sith. Its impressive how amazing the art style in each run is, keeps me hooked along side the plot. This run digs deep into Vaders struggles, motives and marks his emotions and i can assure you he does NOT hold back. Definitely a 10/10 series. Ties in with Rogue one too if you love that movie just as much as i did.

I have enjoyed this ongoing Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith series so much more than the original Marvel Darth Vader series. I think the reason is that this is such a more interesting time in Darth Vader's life. Anakin is still there behind the mask, figuring out his path. This is the finale of the series and everything comes to an excellent end. There are so many references that blend all the different time frames together: the prequels, Rebels, Clone Wars, Rogue One, and the original trilogy. And the connections aren't just passing allusion, but they make up this story. We get to see a former Jedi Council member at the start of this volume. Then a classic prequel ship. The Inquisitors are very present. There's a chase scene on Coruscant very reminiscent of Episode II. And then of course there's Mustafar!!!The final chapter in this volume is done so well. I want more comic stories that connect the trilogies so well. There's even a reference to one of my favorite Episode I movie posters.This was a great volume. A great end to a great series. I obviously give this book a 5/5. I highly recommend this ongoing Marvel series if you're looking for a Star wars series to read.

Good artwork, good story line. Just continued to build and build throughout. It did not disappoint. Got to the most elemental part of Vader and neatly ended it at a good point.

A very unexpected view into Darth Vader and the mindset that sustained him as dark Lord of the Sith. Recommended!

Incredibly told story that is well written, fantastically drawn, and riveting in pace and delivery! A must read for all fans!

This does justice to the story of Vader. The writer and artists worked seamlessly together. This is an excellent end to this run.

Great comic that sheds some light on how Vaders mind works. Seeing the creation of his fortress was cool. The comic has funny moments and serious ones, great read and easy to get into.

This is the story of how Vader gets a fortress on the planet mustafar built by a possessed sith helmet the insane sith builds his fortress and shows Vader how to enter a dark side nexus in his full power where Vader fights his old enemy’s one more time shame we’ve never seen this version on screen he’s incredible will get more of this series good read great art

5/5Hands down the most beautiful and emotional volume in this series.It starts with Vader and his band of inquisitors snatching away new born baby girl of Master Eeth Koth.We jump to Coruscant and Vader requests, no demands a world for himself from Emperor, Mustafar, the ever buring inferno, where Lord Vader with help of sith lord Momin, constructs fortress Vader around an ancient dark side locus to open a portal to other side to fulfill the unfulfilled promise of saving Padme.Unsuccessful in his mission , he goes back to being the faithful servant of his master Palpatine.The whole issue featuring fortress Vader and the journey to dark side is a masterpiece by Charles.Must read for every Star wars fan.
