Just been out for a long walk with my dogs sporting my new hat, it was torrential rain and my hat kept my head, face, neck and shoulders completely dry. Exactly what I wanted.Generous size, will be taking the headband in slightly to tighten it up a bit, easy to do with a needle and thread.Lightweight and really comfortable. Brilliant purchase!!

As described. Good fit and comfortable. I am new to wearing hats so, for me, takes a bit of getting used to - I have a lot of hair so don't need it for warmth! However, I like the way it keeps the sun off my face and back of neck. Folds neatly in a bag or rucksack if you don't want to wear it all day. I have yet to wash it, so can't comment on that aspect.

Really impressed with the quality, it fits great. (Large size fits adult man) and looks good, fab value for money I basically chose the cheapest I could find as it’s for sun protection for a builder so this gets pretty dirty, it washes brilliantly. I would definitely recommend. Arrived the next morning too. Marvellous!

Bought for my partner who now no longer gets a burnt head, face, and neck. It even stays on in the wind on the edges of cliffs! A perfect gift for anyone who wants to keep the sun off and look stylish.

Looks to be well made and a good fit. Good for shade in the sun, not sure about how much good it is in any sort of rain as the label inside says it is made of 100% cotton and I don't think cotton has any waterproof qualities, only time will tell. Otherwise it is sturdy material and a well made hat.

I bought this hat based on the good reviews especially the fact of it being waterproof. Unfortunately first time used in the rain offered no protection at all, my hair was wet through as though I hadn’t been wearing a hat at all, let alone a so called waterproof one. So very disappointed, I shall treat it with a weatherproofing spray and hope that will fix the problem.On a positive note, the hat fits extremely well and the overall quality is good. Perhaps I was just unlucky?
