SAFTRON 24in Residential 5-Step In Ground Ladder White P-324-L5-W

We bought this as an improvement over the 3 step ladder that was initially installed by our pool contractor last year. With the original ladder one had to be part contortionist just to get initial footing on the bottom rung, and the metal railing was too hot to touch in the summer sun. (Of course, one can always purchase rather unattactive covers at a ridiculous price just to mitigate the hot metal railing issue!)The newly purchased Saftron ladder with 5 steps makes it much easier to get out of the pool and the railing stays cool. Also the white color is a more attractive accent than the previous bare metal.If you already have holes drilled in the pool deck for a ladder make sure that the separation between them (more critical) and the distance from the holes to pool edge (not as critical) fit this ladder's specifications. I believe that the dimensions are fairly standard across the board for pool ladders of a specific style. Ours is a fiberglass pool with a curvature to the wall where this replacement ladder needed to be installed. For the ladder to seat entirely flat against the wall I slipped off the rubber caps at the bottom of the post. I then made a small angle cut in each post to account for the curvature before replacing the caps. The composite material can be readily saw cut so this was an easy fine tuning task.We've been looking at Saftron for awhile primarily because we wanted to add a pool step entry railing that didn't require a bonded ground. We are very well satisfied with the looks and the quality of both the entry railing and the ladder purchases.

This ladder is great. It stays cool in the Arizona sun without any covers. Easy to assemble and install. Won't rust like steel ladders.
