Maybe only for Alexa?
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Works w Smart Life app but won't connect to my Google Home. Instructions in package are only how to connect to Alexa. I have 3 other Smart Life devices that work great w my GH but GH inconsistently recognizes and then doesn't recognize this device or the individual plugs. I spent about an hour unlinking and relinking w the help of a Google Home tech and her recommendation was ultimately to return it.

Works as advertised, and is an impressive value
If you need smart plugs that work with Alexa, this power strip is a great deal. Its a little clunky to register and set up the app before registering it with Alexa, but after that its smooth sailing. Each power outlet is addressable individually. I was able to get our inside and outside Christmas lights working with Alexa on this power strip in a few minutes. We use the USB ports to charge an iPhone 8+ and an iPad Pro, and it charges both devices quickly. The power strip seems to be well built. I would guess it was a name brand product if I didn't order myself. The one con is that it doesn't work with Apple Homekit. But if you use Alexa for anything else, this power strip will be a nice addition.

Lights work fine with controller, but problems using voice and connecting to Google Home
For the price, the lights and the brightness and everything are great. However, as advertised (supposed to work with Google Home and Smart Life), I am seeing a lot of things lacking.. even after connecting the device via wifi to the smart life or tuya smart app (i tried both and paired the lights each time), clicking the voice icon and trying to turn them on with voice commands yielded messages like "Sorry, I haven't found any device, please add one first." Despite various troubleshooting attempts, adding the device to the desired room, restarting everything, etc... no luck. Then, when I try to connect it via Google Home, it asks me to register/log in, which I do, but then nothing shows up after. Telling my Google Home to turn on the lights doesn't do anything and the Home Mini simply tells me "It looks like those lights haven't been set up yet. You can do that in the Google Home app." Except.. I tried. And I couldn't. I literally bought these lights because of the price and because they were advertised as being able to pair with Google Home.+1 star for price+1 star for lights and controller+0 stars for connecting to Smart life app+0 stars for connecting to Google Home+0 stars overallTotal: 2/5 stars

Slowly setting up a smart home.
I have upgraded power strip from the traditional ones. This power strip is more useful and convenient than the traditional ones that I have been using. Instead of finding a plug for the usb, I can just plug the usb into the power strip. What I love most about this, is that you can choose one or all plugs to turn off or on. Example: I will charge my tablet, but my phone doesn't need to be charged. So I just turn on my tablet plug. It's GREAT. I LOVE it!!!!!Works with voice if you have Echo plus or you can use your phone (no voice) on an app to control it.I have no issues so far!

Using with Arduino
Most of these LEDs strips are similar. This type does not have individually addressable LEDs. I did not want to use the suggested app (might compromise my network) so I looked for another way to control them. I used an Arduino UNO. The code is simple and available online. With a small amount of coding you can get the LEDs to do a lot of cool things. My setup required three IRFZ44NPBF N-Channel MOSFETs also available from Amazon and super inexpensive. The strip does come with an IR remote but it has limited capabilities compared to using an Arduino. Don't be afraid to try using an Arduino; these small inexpensive micro controllers are capable of all kinds of projects, like a simple obstacle avoiding robotic vehicle, kit with everything you need for under$25 from Amazon.

Not a 6' cable, listing incorrect
I just got it today and it is not a 6 foot long cable, which was important to me. The cable is 5' 3" from the end of the plug to the start of the box. If you include until the end of the plug, it is 5' 6". If you include the whole unit, it will reach at least 6' since the box part is just over 11". But they clearly say that the "cable" or "cord" is 6' in four places! I haven't figured out what I am going to do yet, but lying in the listing seemed to deserve 1 star for now while it is still incorrect.

Nice Quality.
These are really great strip lights. They came a few days ago. I liked how they were super easy to set up. Then I connected them to my google home and my life was changed. I use them to light up my closet and now I can be in bed and turn off the light. The lights have very vibrant colors and it looks really cool. You can tell it is nice quality and I would definitely buy it again.

Latest Version shipping will not "reset" or Enter Pairing Mode. Last 3 units all the same way
I ordered one of these a few weeks ago, it came in and worked perfectly. Of note, this one did not have the logo on the unit like the last 3 I received. It worked so well I order 3 more. This arrived and other than the addition of the logo, the box, part numbers etc were all the same. However, none of the 3 arrived ready to be paired. There was no blinking power light etc. I tried the reset as instructed (hold Power button down for over 6 seconds), nothing changed. The only time I see the Power button lit up is when you first plug it in I get 2 flashes then nothing. Please advise with a proper RESET procedure is I can use the 3 I just received. Thanks David
