Not leakproof
The media could not be loaded. Not at all leakproof and shouldn’t be advertised as such. The design of the lid allows the water to flow right out of the wholes for pouring. I don’t need it to be leakproof but do need it to be heat proofs or tea. I poured boiling water in and had no issues.

An elegant and functional water pitcher
This pitcher is well made and elegant. Its predecessor was plastic and while shatter proof, a drawback of this glass container, it had started to harbor algae despite frequent cleaning. So I opted for glass after ditching the plastic pitcher. It is an elegant and attractive container with a well fitting lid that I wanted to keep out dust and other potential contaminants. My one concern is the handle that seems rather thin for the weight of this pitcher when filled with water. I hope it stands up to the future usage challenges. This brings me to the subject of these reviews. Hey Amazon, how can anyone offer more than an educated guess on “durability” after owning something for a matter of weeks. In this case I am hoping for a life span of several years from this purchase. So commenting on durability at this stage is ridiculously premature. My three stars rating on this aspect reflects my concerns over the durable nature of the pitcher’s rather thin handle? This adds to the pitcher’s elegance but may provide a durability challenge? However, with this one misgiving, I am otherwise very satisfied with my purchase.

Nice pitcher
I work from home so I drink a lot of water throughout the day. I fill my filtered pitcher first, when that is done being filtered, I fill this pitcher. That way I always have two pitchers of water ready at all times. This is a very pretty pitcher. When it is full, it is heavy and the thought has crossed my mind that I hope the handle doesn’t break. So far so good. I really like the look and style and that it holds a large amount of water. The filtered pitcher has a max fill line of 10 cups and this pitcher can handle all of it. I recommend it!

Easy on arthritic hands
My old thick-sided rectangular glass pitcher was large and convenient and I liked the silicone lid (although it stained), BUT at 45 and puny too I am realizing that the heaviness and cumbersome nature of that heavy pitcher has taken a toll on my wrists. I used it every day for my iced tea, which I make a lot of, and I was getting concerned about repetitive injury.I am so glad I got this new glass pitcher. It’s the perfect size for two bags of family size tea. It’s so light, but it still holds a lot so I don’t have to make more batches throughout the day.I like the lid, too. It’s stainless steel and easy to clean. Also, if you just run some water over the silicone ring before you put it on, it plops right on and makes a good seal. Usually I take off the lid entirely when I pour because I’m impatient, but if you pour with the lid on it’s a much more controlled rate of flow.It is glass and we have honed marble countertops, so I have to remember it’s not plastic and just plop it down on the counter. I usually keep a cutting board out that I set it on, especially when I’m pouring in the hot water for tea. I do think they got the thickness of the glass just perfectly balanced between the lightness and sturdiness. It’s super easy to clean because the mouth is very large and you can easily reach down into it to wash it out on the inside. My favorite thing about it is the handle, which I can easily slip my hand into mitten style and, supporting the bottom with my other hand and maneuver it into the refrigerator even when it’s full to the lid. So happy that it’s so much more pleasant and now my wrists don’t hurt and I can enjoy my knitting. The only thing I would ding it for is that one little drip of liquid always runs downs the side but for this price point I am more than satisfied with this product and if I broke it tomorrow I’d buy another one immediately.

All in all terrible product
I bought a few different pitchers at the same time, this one is my least favorite the lid does not suction at all falls out when pouring, you have to hold it or completely take it out, because if you do not it will either first fall out, or liquid will come out of the sides and then the lid will fall off... it's crazy.. sad I paid more for this one then the other ones I bought and it is the worst of them all, I keep it in the back of my kitchen cabinet. Packaging was also weird it came in plain cardboard box and had a big stamp on it from the country it was from. At least it wasnt broken but all in all Super sad and a big waste!

Product not exactly as described.
I am dissatisfied with this product ; The " Stainless steel lid " leaks with its " Food grade silicone ". It also leaks at the spout. I have only used it for water and have only had it for 4 days. I really do not understand why they want a rating right away, we should be allowed some time of using the product so that we can give a good rating. I would not recommend this product or buy it again. I would had preferred to buy a product like this in person from some kind of Home Goods Store were it could had been inspected visually, but due to the COVID 19 shut I took a chance. Product not worth amount spend for it. Buyer Beware.

Beautiful. No leak seal silicone. Product was broken when I received it.
UPDATE: They sent me a replacement and it is lovely. Be aware that it is a “thinner” glass and will need to take care when in use.Nice pitcher, from what I could tell. It did come to me broken. I noticed the styrofoam had a broken piece but didn't think much about it. When I opened the styrofoam tape, I immediately cut my finger on glass before I even had it fully open. I jumped and pulled my hand back and ended up dropping it, too. It comes well packed I just think it was damaged on the manufacture end due to the broken styrofoam. I have submitted for a replacement.

Falsely advertised as a 2.5L pitcher
The media could not be loaded. Seller falsely advertises this pitcher as 2.5L. After using a measure cup to measure the amount of water this pitcher holds, it works out to about 2.2L / 74oz (to the bottom of where the spout forms). The handle does seem thin and I have not yet tested if this pitcher can handle hot liquids.

Just in time for summer
With a lot more upcoming porch time this was just what we needed for summer. While it may seem like pitchers are more or less the same, it's the small design details and differences that caught our fancy - most ones we saw in store were generic and had a office staff room vibe. We enjoy the slim more modern handle and the stainless steel lid, while subtle it makes the overall look more magazine worthy. We were initially worried that the handle might seem too delicate but after a few weeks of consistent usage it's held up well. If you're confused about the pictures, it is clear all the way around with no logos - that's the case for the largest size. Another thing worth mentioning is the opening and how large it is - while seemingly inconsequential it actually makes cleaning that much easier when you can fully reach in and not have to use a brush since it's recommended to hand wash it. The strainer and filter works well as we use it mostly for tea, and the capacity is enough to serve four of us easily. For summertime tea will take a backseat and it will become more used for fruit infusion.

2.2 L volume. Does dribble. Good otherwise.
Other reviewers are correct. The volume is 2.2 L, not 2.5 L as advertised. The spout does dribble. Each time you pour, one last drop will always escape and roll down the front of the jug. These aren't big drawbacks. I bought this because the volume was nonetheless the largest I found in this price range. The last drop can be caught by tying a strip of fabric around the jug's neck. The handle feels sturdy and the glass looks nice and clear. I gave it a 4/5 because if I buy a second jug, I'll try a different one to compare. It's a good jug and I'm sure it'll be useful - though I'm not convinced it's the best jug I'll ever buy.

Glass is 5 stars, a bit tippy, lid is 3 or less stars
Glass is lovely. The base of it is rounded narrower, which makes it "more aesthetic", but tippier.I would have preferred a less-small base, less tippy. The lid sucks:flies can come in at the spout, go around to wherever the big opening is, & get down into the juice. Also, the lid is made of sheet stainless steel, so dish-water gets inside it, at the seam,& it cannot be cleaned out from inside, so it rots in there( same as many thermos lids prevent cleaning internally )NEVER let dishwater get into the lid: do not immerse it ever. That lovely glass jug, though, nice!I got this because while making orange-juice with 1 can frozen concentrate & 3 cans water may produce original-concentration orange-juice,but that simply isn't healthy( what is "natural" behaviour about eating 18 oranges per day?? )So, I got this to put 1 frozen orange juice in, & LOTS of water, making the drink far healthier/lower-sugar for me!Works good, too ( i.e. 2.5 litres, wish it was 3 litres, but SO much better than the alternatives : )Yes recommended, so long as one is careful with it.( :

Finally, a jug that doesn’t dribble!
I’m very happy with this glass jug. When it first arrived, both my husband and I didn’t think it looked large enough to hold 2.5 litres, so we got out the measure cup to test it. Sure enough, it does!I’ve been using the jug daily, and love that I’ve finally found a jug that does not dribble everywhere when I’m pouring a glass of water! It’s tall and thin, so it doesn’t take up much room in the fridge, and the handle is comfortable to hold. I like the metal lid as well. It has a rubber seal, yet isn’t hard to remove when needed. All in all, a good product that I would definitely recommend.
