ITOYAITY90801 Portfolio Advantage 8.5X11

The product itself was fine. I simply had purchased a few different versions of a portfolio with the plan of returning the ones that didn't meet my specific need/taste. This was one of the returns. Oh my goodness, the return directions were extremely confusing and the return process was very inconvenient and expensive! This company is apparently separate from Amazon even though they advertise on the Amazon site. I highly suggest that you make sure you really want any items you purchase from them as you will truly not want to experience their return process. They need to be more user friendly for sure. And Amazon needs to do a better job advertising which vendors have a much different return process. I took two stars off for the horrible, expensive return experience. I will not be purchasing from this company again.

I use these portfolios for high quality 8 1/2 x 11 photos. They are sturdy due to their light weight but sturdy covers. The pages all have black sheet inserts. The pages are extremely clear and appear to be sturdy. I compared several different folios. Some had covers which were too largd and most had soft flimsy covers.

I've been keeping ink jet prints (Epson R3000, UltraChrome K3 ink, epson paper) in the larger version of these that I bought 8 months ago or so and no signs of ink transfer or sticking. Prints slide out just as easily now as they did months ago, glossy paper included. At least with the media I'm using, these things just won't stick.How will the prints look in 50 years compared to unprotected prints? That's obviously rather difficult to say, but if the archival quality of the sleeves matches what I've seen so far then it won't be the sleeves at fault. I'm more suspicious of the paper. (I don't think that even the "Ultra Premium" epson paper is considered archival quality.)I only subtract one star because the price is kind of high, and for the price I feel like they should have come with hard (box type) sleeves.

The cases look good. The artwork paper is dulled a little, but the transparency is really good. However, the cases are stiff with very, very little extra wiggle room to get a normal 8.5 x 11 page inside. I have some older models from a decade ago which I prefer a lot more, but my oldest one is tattered so I grabbed this new model. I prefer the old models a lot. I wish there were competitors... I purchased several different Itoya Presentation books to compare. This one, The Advantage, is superior to the others. The covers are stiff and durable, and the plastic pages are crystal clear so you can really see the photos perfectly!As far as the other Itoya books, second choice would be the Evolution line, much more light weight and plastic pages slightly less clear.The other Itoya book, The Original, it has a very nice cover sturdy but not as thick as the Advantage, and it's smooth and feels nice. The big drawback of "The Original" it doesn't have the crystal clear pages, pages are a little foggy.

Love this product. Already have a 4x6 / 5x7 /8x10 for photos....This one is for documents.

I love this portfolio. Perfect for displaying info about my family tree. One thing I was disappointed with - I wanted A4 size and could only get Letter size so all my pages had to be trimmed.
