I bought this rather than the Roadtrek "factory" hose to allow use of propane appliances outside the coach. Advantages: 1) Price: $28.00 vs $120. 2) Free fast shipping vs. expensive slow shipping across the border. 3) Length: 10 feet vs. 4 feet. I want to have BBQ fire and smoke farther from the camper van full of gasoline and propane. 4) Function: it powers my Coleman folding 2-burner stove, my Weber go-anywhere gas grill, or even my Coleman lantern, plug and play.Disadvantages: 1) the 10 foot hose has a large enough capacity to trigger the propane safety shutoff valve if it is filled suddenly; this is why the Roadtrek hose is only 4 feet. I have learned to turn the valve on the coach side of the quick connect fitting very slowly. 2) the quick connect fitting is a very tight fit, as it needs to be. It has to be pushed in hard, all the way until the spring loaded balls fall into the detent.

If you are using for connecting to an RV source that is regulated then you will need an unregulated grill or device or you won't get much flow. You have to make sure you do not have two regulators. This is no fault of this hose as the hose is not regulated.

This hose is very well constructed of quality components. It has protective covers for both ends. The hose must connected to the high pressure side of the propane system. Although the quick connector fit my RV connection there isn't enough pressure to fuel appliances meant to run directly off of a throw away cylinder.

Does not work, no gas comes through, seems the shrader valve is too deep in the end to be depressed by portable bbq. UPDATE, I drilled out the shrader out, works gr8 now

Description was accurate. Good Quality. Good price. Unfortunately it wouldn't work for my particular application. Hooked up to my coleman propane stove from an existing quick connection on my RV. Regulator on stove would not allow gas to flow due to the fact gas was already regulated from RV propane tank. Not the fault of the hose though.

i like this product as it keeps you from needing the small 1lb bottles, just be aware that if your trailer is regulated you won't have full pressure at the appliance.
