Great value for money and exactly as described!
This is the third sail I have bought to replace my original one that lasted several years. The previous two were simply not of the quality or dimensions that I needed so had to be returned. This one, finally, is really well made from quality materials and is the dimensions I need. Really pleased to have found Kookaburra - much better than the competition and not too highly priced.

Good but beware of a few things.
I bought this to create a shower / shade proof area over our patio at the back of the house. The idea was we can put a patio table set out and if the sun is too hot we are shaded and if it there was a light shower we could still sit out. This seemed to be a good compromise between purposes, price and function. The size was not ideal due to the shape of our patio and the fact that it between the rear of adjoining houses. I used some boat bolts to secure it to walls along with some other fittings. After some playing about i got it all right and tight. Ok, the good. It is light, strong, seems well made. It does block out light - a good or bad thing depending on your perspective. It does not, however, seem shower proof to me - waterproof certainly not. Some water does seap through the seams. Also the sides all sweep in, so the area that is protected is not 3x2 m but less- it is not 6m square. So beware of that. Otherwise, its good. We are using it and enjoying it. I will let you know how we get on at the end of the summer.

kookaburra sail shade
Brilliant product very well priced. It looks the part once it is installed and it does the job very well. What will cost you a fortune is the fixing gear you will need to put the thing up, unless you have of course 3 handy trees. A tensioning system of some description is absolutely vital, without such a system the sail will just not sit right and make sure the sail is at an angle to allow the water to run off otherwise, as we found out the water will collect in the middle and it is then difficult to shift. We have all enjoyed the sail now that it is installed and can be taken down easily.

Well made with strong anchor points
As described this is a sunshade that is waterproof . It’s well made with strong re unforced anchor points so putting tension was good .We have a south west facing garden and get full sun all day and sometimes the seating area gets too hot so this provided great shade when needed . It also was good for the typical U.K. weather of bright sunshine one minute and light showers the next . Kept us all dry , however not when it downpours . But that is not what is described as so not complaints there. It’s actually withstood a heavy rain for a good 30 minutes before it started pooling and just leaked at the seams .NB the square area is 3x3metres so be aware if you want coverage for 3.6x3.6 metres

Lovely looking shade
Held up well in mild wind, heavy rain, kept the furniture dry underneath, looks really good, nice cream colour. The only thing is that the ropes are quite short so it needed additional rope, which wasn’t a problem but knocks a star off from being a 5

This is amazing considering that I could only empty the weight of ...
Incredible quality but do not leave up in rain unless you have it fixed at an angle where the rain can run off. I woke up to find my one settled on top of the outside table with a bath size amount of water trapped inside. Amusing at the time even though it pulled my angled wooden posts into an upright position and nearly pulled the metal hooks straight. The kookaburra sail and it's attachment loops held solid. This is amazing considering that I could only empty the weight of water out by shoulder barging the swollen sail material until it sloshed out enough water for me to lift one end and detach it from the post. If I ever need to purchase more sunproof, waterproof shelters then I will only buy kookaburra. I threw the other brand I brought away because it was so rubbish in comparison.

Poor Quality
Disappointingly, the sail contained an extra seam, where evidently the maker has been confronted with a piece from the end of the roll and made do by stitching on an off-cut in order to complete the sail. Is there any effective quality control? Also the proportions were wrong so the sail remained creased even under high tension. This is a replacement for a sail I bought a few years ago, which worked beautifully. The quality has gone down hill substantially since then.

Great product
This is a blessing. Great protector. Doesn’t spoil your view like a parasol and the cream colour gives a great warm ‘light’. Easyish to fit; don’t rust it and lay it out on the ground first as instructions. Highly recommend 👍
