Repose Contur Inflatable Air Cushion for Recliner Chair - Prevention and Relief of Bed Sores, Pressure Ulcers - Manual Pump

I purchased this WONDERFUL COMPLETELY WORTH THE MONEY recliner cushion for my mom who had developed a pressure sore on a heel and in the mid-back/spine area. Mom spends most of her awake time in a lift chair/recliner and it really does not have the best cushioning.The Repose Contour Pressure Relieving Cushion Pad has by far exceeded my expectations for providing comfort as well as, aiding in the healing and prevention of pressure sores. She has spent extended periods of time sitting in her recliner with this cushioning pad and her back has showed NO REDNESS or MARKINGS/INDENTATIONS which have occurred when using other pads and even the mattress topper/bedding.Mom enjoys the comfort of the Repose cushion so much, that she's even asked if she can sleep in recliner vs bed at night!!Directions were easy to follow regarding use of the pump that was included for inflation, holds the air very well (only had to air up once since the first time), it fits well in the lift chair and the cover cleans up spills easily with a damp cloth.The cost seems high, but it would have been more expensive to purchase a new recliner and even then, no guarantee that it would give us some relief with pressure sores.Thank you so much for providing such a high quality product, that genuinely delivers what it claims to do!P.S. Ever consider manufacturing a mattress topper?? Just saying 😀

I like that you can wipe it clean and you can put it on a bed too. Make sure you sit on it while inflating so you can get the right comfort for you. It’s a little pricey but worth the money if it helps with pressure sores.

When I first received this product I thought that it would never work. The inside tubes seemed cheap and fragile. I followed the directions for set up, laid her lambs wool pad over the this pad and got her into her lift chair. My immobile mother was able sit, lay, and relax all day long on her backside without any pain for the first time then the second day her pain came back. For it to work you have to pump it up everY day. Not work the money by any means.

Sores are subsiding, and that's why we got this. It's a tad bit expensive, but if it works, it works.

The air cushion is the ultimate in comfort! It was easy to assemble and attach to the chair. the LazBoy is not a soft chair but this cushion transforms it to a very comfortable sit or sleep. it is well worth the investment for anyone with back problems or other physical issues.

I bought this for my critically ill father who was in his recliner most of the time and slept in it due to health issues. My father said it increased his ability to sleep from 1 hour to 4 hours continuously. My father passed away two weeks after I bought it but I still say it is worth every penny for the comfort it provided in the last two weeks of his life.

mom has overstuffed recliner and the fit was great.That and ease of use is 5 star for sure.Downfalls:it was purchased to ease pressure off mom's coccyx; while it did offer SOME short term relief, it did not serve it's main function of relieving pressure.Mom is a lightweight and within a short time, the area needing to provide the most comfort, was not keeping it's air-filled shape.Even if you over inflate this, it slowly loses air.This is basically an air raft (think swimming pool), with straps to attach to chair. There's no acceptable explanation for cost-half the amount would still be outside the realm of reasonable.

Excellent product and easy to inflate. However do not use fir disabled senior on a recliner. My mother slides down even when recliner is in upright position and when reclined slides down almost to footrest. Not for use with a non ambulatory person. Too dangerous. Bought this to help avoid pressure sores. Now back to using a simple seat size pad for that purpose.
