My employer's healthcare pharmacy plan with Caremark does not cover the 18G needles my doctor prescribes for getting the thick oily medicine out of the vile and a lot of pharmacies charge $6-24 per needle. Since the 18G size is not covered, I have to pay the full cost. The pharmacy plan will only cover the separately prescribed 23G needle to inject it. I've tried pulling and injecting with the same 23G needle and it is nearly impossible to pull the thick oil out of the vile and then inserting an already used and more than likely damaged needle into flesh is not comfortable. I find these 18 gauge needles work well and are fit and qualified for getting the thick oil from the vile, which is why the doctor prescribes using the 18 gauge needle for that purpose. The needles are durable and exhibit the same properties of the needles that cost $6-24 more from the pharmacy. The accuracy of the description of the product matches the packaging in that they are sterile. I don't use the needle to inject, so I can't comment on the stickiness of the needle, but I can accurately say that they work as well as the 18G needles that pharmacies charge anywhere from $6-24.

Cheaper than using a prescription in most scenarios. I use this for drawing up my dosage (DO NOT USE THIS FOR AN INJECTION), and I've never had any issues with it. Reliable and cheap.

Not as sharp as I would like and damaged bottle rubber so it can leak when using as a transfer needle

I have to inject myself regularly with medication and these needles are very price-friendly. The packaging on the needles themselves and on the box says they are STERILE and I choose to believe this-- I haven't had any issues in using them for a couple of months with sterility or infection. However, a few needles are poorly made/tooled, and it's random. For the first month, about half of them were very painful and felt dull to shove into my skin, and the other half were a little bit rough (compared to the needles I can get Rx at Walgreens), but much easier. After those two or three were revealed, I haven't had many uncomfortable ones, so the ratio of bad needles might be something like 1:5 or 1:10. I don't know who's in charge of the QC process but clearly they are not as rigorous as they should be. These needles work just fine for subcutaneous injections, if you can just deal with a bit of discomfort from a dull needle, no problems, and the price is fabulous. I might buy another box of these just to be stocked up.

I bought this 100-pack of 18Ga needles for “scientific purposes” (mostly my experiments in home chemistry and pretending I’m in a lab). Honestly, these needles deserve a medal for professionalism. Why These Needles Are Basically Tiny Ninjas: Sterile & Ready for Action: Out of the package, ready to go—like little soldiers obeying the laws of science. No contamination drama here. Industrial-Strength Precision: Perfect for anything that requires exact liquid transfer. Or, in my case, trying to squirt water into impossibly tiny vials without spilling all over the counter. Mission accomplished. One Inch of Heroic Sharpness: They get the job done without causing “oops, ouch!” moments… unless you forget basic safety rules. Then, yes, they remind you who’s boss. 100-Pack = Plenty to Share With Fellow Mad Scientists: Or hoard, because hoarding needles is totally a thing now. Tiny Quibbles (Because Life is Never Perfect): Not Edible: In case your cat thought otherwise. Handle With Care: Slightly intimidating for non-lab folks, but once you remember they’re not for balloon animals, it’s fine. Bottom Line: If you want precision, sterility, and a touch of mad scientist energy, these 18Ga disposable needles deliver. Perfect for labs, hobbies, or impressing people by saying, “Oh, this? Just some industrial-grade science stuff.”
