Will buy this again
We buy for long-term storage, and we always like to taste our purchases before we buy more. A lot of times with these big cans, they’re so expensive that we are afraid to open it up and have the rest of the can go to waste before we would finish it. Well, this Augason Farms can had four bags of Fettuccine Alfredo inside, so it was perfect for testing! We both thought it was delicious, and we will definitely buy more.

4 pouches in canister, 4 servings per pouch=16 servings total
I normally dont buy emergency meals like this, even on sale they are pricy. But I decided to buy it on a whim. I usually have very good experience with buying basic packets of pasta dishes. Some I have just let sit on my shelves for several years, and then when I made it it tastes fine. Some have had reduced flavor, but still edible. Then I have done some where I repackaged in mylar (no special preparation), and that boosted the freshness. So more or less this is reason why i have avoided the emergency containers. But, I have been adding various ingredients to my long term storage, and have been buying when on sale. This was on sale, and so I just decided to add one container on a whim. I like that it contains a few mylar pouches as opposed to opening the canister and it just being an open container of a pasta meal. For that, I really found it worth buying.

Prepares and tastes like a box meal. A bit watery. Four sealed packages inside is great!
Have had other Augason Farms products, first experience with a super can.Snagged the can for about $20ish, for this price it's a hard to beat long-term option.Note: Preparing these is like preparing (edit: better example) **Knorr packages minus the need for milk**. You will need a pot/pan. Do not expect it to prepare like a Mountain House meal. Not a minus, just be aware.Cooking per the instructions, it was a bit watery. Backed off on the water and it was slightly better. I get that taste is subjective. To me, it tastes ok by itself, very edible and not a bad choice.Add a can of chicken and some black pepper if you got it. Taste then goes from ok to average.Jar alfredo and box noodles is superior, but this is for when you can't obtain Jar alfredo/box noodles. To me, the four individually sealed packages inside the #10 can is a significant advantage. You get the storage benefits of the #10 can and opening the can doesn't diminish the 25ish year shelf life. You can also split these packages up when needed to condense, carry, or barter.Seeing that we live in a time where soup cans are around $2-$3, $5ish per package is a good value. $8 per package gets you into Mountain House territory.Worth adding to the pantry since it doesn't taste miserable like others. 100% worth eating if all one has is rice and beans.

Augason Farms Never Fails!
I've Never Met a Augason Farms food product I didn't like! For an easy & quick meal or in uncertain times Augason Farms is PERFECT for LONG TERM food supplies. I strongly urge EVERYONE check out Augason Farms before purchasing from some of the "other" long term food companies.

Love Super Cans
Have made this 4 times, each one improved by experimenting with replacing water with a cup of milk, and adding some butter to get this closer to rich creamy Alfredo that is expected for a typical family typical dinner meal. Otherwise, lacks body. In an emergency, this would be fantastic simply made as directed. Also, found it too firm, let it cook for 18 minutes instead of 15. Adding chicken is a great option, of course.

I've had good luck with Augason farms products not to mention it's long shelf live. Don't be caught short again!

Very tasty, wish they'd still sell to Ireland
I'm from Ireland and they don't sell augason products (even the non meat products) to here anymore for some reason. Its a real shame because we can't get long term food that's this tasty
