This is by far the best canned mackerel I've found, consistently high quality, tasty and versatile. I'm a big fan of mackerel for its meaty and high fat taste. Excellent with many dishes, very nice for a quick way to add healthy and rich protein with a good amount of fish per can. Also like the easy to open pull tab. Very highly recommended, I order these often.

I love mackerel and this one is one of the better flavors from this set. I like the hint of sweetness/spice. Wish it had a little more garlic flavoring(I love garlic), but it's really good. The other flavor I like from this is the Lemon one. Those are my 2 favorites. With it in EVOO, packed with omega-3 and high protein, makes it a hearth healthy meal. I can eat this by itself, but I usually eat this with mix greens. Can just break it up into the salad and eat as is, no need for dressing. Good value for the money on the amount you get. Doesn't give an overpowering smell when opening as opposed to sardines(which I love as well, different brand :) ). If you're calorie counting or doing a calorie deficit, this is and excellent choice to get your proteins and heart healthy food into your diet. Good portion so you don't over do it. With it in EVOO, can't go wrong, very moist and good for you.

Tastes good, lots of good protein. Olive oil is a bit watered down but the fish is tasty. Had no bones or skin. Package was totally fine and to me decent price and value. Quality seems good, wild caught so that’s the best thing. No leak out of the can. I love this fish which has lots of omega 3!

These are wild caught herring in olive oil. Source of good protein, and omega 3. The taste is not overly fishy, the meat is tender, and olive oil is so much better than water. I eat these all the time, either with a slice of bread or a few saltines. perfect to take traveling on road trips. Every now and than you may find a small bone, but they are fish. Fish have bones. So do chickens. It's OK. Try a can, if you like fish, you will love these.
