Performance exceeded expectation. Would recommend it to others!!
I chose to order this product due to the space I needed on top of my 3 gallon tank for my aquaponic system. As my attached picture shows, there is "overhead room" for plants to grow. I like the LED which has both white light for my betta fish and a blue light for my plants. So this combination works well for my purpose. As others have said the hinge part is very sensitive and will move if you are not gentle when touching the three buttons of white and blue light and on/off. The buttons are also sensitive to touch. The material is well made and sturdy enough even when my cats try to get to the plants, the clamp that it comes with, did not come off. It's missing a 5 star rating only because when I first tried it turned it on, it flashed and I couldn't stop from doing it. Also the instructions could be better and did not mention about flashing light. So the next day and every day thereafter, I have no issues of the flashing light.UPDATE: April 26...after 2 more months, there are no issues with the light and I love it. The blue and white light even makes nearby items grow like my Clematis plant. (See pic #2). Because of these 2 positive experiences, I am upgrading my rating to FIVE stars!!

The screw attachment is plastic.
I'm using this on a nursery tank for guppy fry in this photo. I also have it on a black 15 gallon guppy polytub. And I plan on buying a third light for a 35 gallon planted poly tub that I currently have an awkward arrangement of a plant light. This is a great light for aquarium plants. It's surprisingly bright. The screw attachment is plastic so I don't know how well that will stand the test of time and heavy use. Mine will be getting a lot of use.

Quality was worth the price.
Reason for four stars was that the remote was either to switch to the white Led or blue led & unable to adjust brightness as described. Brightness in either color is good.. Besides that so far its been working okay.

Good light
I have a very small area for my 6 gal cube aquarium, under a kitchen cabinet. Though this light offered the k-value I wanted and has lots of features it does not "swing out and down" the way I thought it would in my space.Good light so I'm keeping it for my other 12 gal tank.UPDATE: This review is still accurate but wanted you to know now I'm using as an alternative light source on another tank. The new light is so bright I'm getting algae so I cut its on hours and use this to enjoy viewing my tank and its occupants.

In depth review
Okay so taking it out of the box an unfolding it was actually fun.Attaching to tank easy 5 stars simple. My issue now it does not go forward just up an down major draw back.Probably the brightest light i own besides the one that came with the 200 gallon.Does it work for a standard 20 gallon um no you will need 2 of them. It is also to tall for a 20 gallon to work properly for plants. You may get away with a half rock an half green scape an be fine with one.The blue light is bright an is fine for evening without being annoying dark blue. This light will not work for plants that are red or need high light this is as best a low light.

It will break at 14 months
Not very very bad but somewhat bad.Pros: Dimmable, many different settings, reaches to middle of aquarium, cost is ok, my plants grew well.Cons: can't use a timer, on/off and dimming buttons are touch sensitive and it broke in 14 months. The touch sensitive buttons are typically a bad idea for humid conditions like around aquariums. Also they are tricky to get right. Imagine having your cellphone screen button only work if pressed a special way. That is my big gripe with this light. I used it for a year with no problems. Full light during the day (white and blue), dim blue and white in evening, and dim blue at midnight. Did this every day I was home. Vacation timer would cycle one day white, one day blue, one day both and one day nothing. I had no choice. Now the darn thing keeps cycling bright to dim to bright to dim. I looks like flashing but is stuck in a continuous loop. Electronics from China are what I paid for and got. Not happy.

Great lights at a great price
I have a basic fish only salt water setup and these make it look great. I do not know if they are powerful enough for corals but they do a great job on my tank. I do wish the lights had a way to lock the top of the lights in place, it is too easy to move the head while turning on or off, but other then that these are a great buy.
