Zipfy is a uniquely designed rugged plastic snow sled with a distinctive lever used for stability and turning. Pronounced [zip' fee]. How to get the most out of your Zipfy: 1. Just sit on the seat area, hold the handle, legs straight, feet forward and away you go. Zipfy's topside supports the rider's extended legs. 2. To control speed, the rider simply drops his heels and slows the sled's momentum. For a more immediate stop, the rider lifts the handle, leans back and digs the rear of the sled into the ground. 3. With a low center of gravity and the rail design on the underbelly of the sled, riders can carve down the slopes simply by leaning into the turn while holding the center handle. 4. Zipfy is also compact, very light and easy to carry back up the hill. 5. Zipfy was designed for a weight capacity of up to 250lbs and comfortably seats riders of all weights and sizes. Zipfy is for kids aged 6 to 106. It's a blast, and a bargain
This item is cheap, fun, and fairly safe as snow sport items go. I bought it for me so I would have something to ride when taking my son sledding, but he immediately stole it from me. It's his now. He just turned 5, and mastered it very quickly. I feel much better about him going down tree lined hills on this thing, feet first, and able to maneuver with ease, than I do with a generic plastic sled. He also goes much faster than I do on it because he's so much lighter than me. I'm 6' 1", 180#, and it is easily rideable for me. If you have a large rear end, you may have more trouble. I'm very happy with my purchase. If it looks like you might like it, you probably will.

sturdy and fun
Fast, sturdy and fun! Will last forever, it's indestructible, unlike other sleds. And it is faster than most, if not all. We have bought several for gifts for other kids, as it's one of our top finds.

A snowy Christmas
I bought this for my 7 year old nephew for Christmas. it snowed on Christmas Eve and there was plenty leftover for Christmas day. He used it right away. I thought at first it might be too small for him because he is quite tall for 7, but it seemed to work fine for him. It's light weight and easy for him to carry. I think he enjoyed it and will use it again. I would suggest this for any child under 8, but was a little disappointed in the fact that I had to pay the quite expensive shipping cost, as opposed to the Junior Zipfy,

Fun
Despite looking like an erotic sex toy, both when standing alone, and when inuse, it's a great sled on packed snow. It goes very fast and, with practice, can still be controlled on difficult courses. It's large enough for mostadults, myself included, but I still wish they made a slightly larger model.Having a replaceable bottom skid-plate would have been nice but would havedriven up the cost. The sled is sturdy enough to last several seasons of roughuse.

Zipfy if Nifty
Bought two of these for my son (8) and anyone else who wanted to ride. They work great when the snow isn't deep or if it is icy. In deep snow they just sink in and you have to build a trail, it can be a bit of work. Riding it as a adult is a little awkward or should I say getting up from riding it is almost worthy of a video. LOL We pretty much needed to slide off the back first and then stand up. We were laughing so hard the first few times we just sat there. All in all it is a fun and unique sled and I'd recommend it.

Whole Family loved it!
I had this sent to nephew for his 5 th birthday. I got a video messaged to me of him riding it down a hill, huge smile in place. The neighbor boy called it " epic" high praise indeed! Then his 3 year old sister gave it a whirl and loved it, and so did mom and dad! Not bad for around $20 bucks and free prime shipping !

Pleased with affordable, cute, sturdy sleds.
I purchased 2 of these for my daughters ages 11 and 6. Given the mild winter in the south east, they've only been able to use it once on a skiff of snow. The sleds worked on the light snow on a hill behind our house!!! My girls still need to work out the details of how to steer them. I like the compact size for storage and ease for my girls to tote. They are relatively sturdy given the light weight. I look forward to riding one myself when we get another snow.

SuperFun Snow Sled
On the advice of a friend I purchased 3 Zipfys for our grandchildren's first snowplay experience. Ages ranged from 7yrs to 16yrs and adults gave it a ride too. All LOVED it and chose this "mini luge sled" over all other sleds, discs and snowboards. After 2 tries my 7 yr old grandaughter mastered it and loved the speed, control and going "airborne" over small bumps. It is lightweight but extremely sturdy, takes up little space and is a must have for lots of fun! The zipfy website needs to show younger kids just having fun; not just the extreme riding down a mountain which can be a deterrent for parents considering this purchase.

are they fast
yes they are very fast, but they don't work in powder, you need to ride them on packed in snow or ice.

6 year old Grandson approved
It was great but you have to have at least 2 feet of snow for it to really go. My grandson said, "it's a fast one Grandma". He also likes you can hold on.

Great Purchase
I bought these 2 winters ago and they're still like new! Our family (ages 6-36) loves using them each year.

Not as fun as "plain" plastic/foam sled
Not as fun to ride as the simple plastic sleds. Doesn't seem to go as fast, at least on the not-so-steep slopes we have near us.
