Desktop Charging Stand Replacement for Pencil, Auminum + Wood Charger Dock Station with Pencil Holder & Cap Holder

When I bought this I felt there was a lack of good reviews/photos and I was a bit unsure about the purchase. So, here is a review with photos.Product is heavy and sturdy. Rubber on the bottom to keep it from slipping. Will not tip or fall easily. Does not come with Apple cord, but I knew that. The cord plugs simply and easily into the back. Pencil slides in easily for charging. The other hole is there to store the pencil when not charging, tip down. It’s a tiny bit wobbly when in that hole, but not enough to worry about it.Pencil charged quickly. This is just what I was looking for. Very happy with my purchase and it arrived fast too.

Doesn't charge at all!

The build and design of this charger is nice - tasteful wood trim at the bottom and pleasant weight so that it feels well-built, and doesn't move about easily. The silver paint seems like it will not peel or chip easily under normal use. Travelling with in may prove otherwise but that isn't what I intend to use it for. It just sits on my shelf.It charges my Apple pencil (1st gen) as intended. I have not timed how long it take for a full charge as I usually charge it overnight as needed.The only two issues I have with this charger are:1. Led color is green when charger is plugged to power and turns orange when the pencil is inserted. However, even when the pencil is fully charged the led remains orange. There isn't any indication that the pencil is fully charged. Thus if you need to charge the pencil quickly to use it asap, you will not know when it is ready. In my case, as I leave it overnight, my pencil gets fully charged (verified by checking battery level on the iPAD) so it doesn't compromise my usage.2. No indication of charging status (related to point above) and hence no assurance that there is over-charging protection on the charger, just depending on pencil for this. Its guess-work for the charged level unless you keep track of charging time manually.If the manufacturer fixes these two issues, this charger would be a five star product worth its price, and definitely the best value for money compared to all the chargers I researched on Amazon at the time I bought this!

I’ve been using this charger for several days now. It is very good quality. It’s heavyweight, solid and has the rubberized bottom so it doesn’t slide around. The pencil fits snuggly in the charger. The small light on the front is green when you plug your lightning cord into it. Once you attach your Apple Pencil, the light turns red. It does not turn green when your pencil is fully charged, it stays red. This is the only thing I would change about this charger. It would be nice to be able to see when your pencil is charged. I was not able to find a charger that does this, but I am still very satisfied with my purchase.

I have a previous model - it worked for seven months. Fixing it (connector) is mission impossible (or so it looks once you remove the base/bottom), so I bought another - as it does really look great. Out of the box it didn't charge either of my apple pencils, so I returned it. I've sent several emails to Oittm - to no response. Fortunately, amazon's return policy is stellar. YMMV - because of the way they situation and stabilize the connector (female receptor for the pencil) - you might get a good one. I gave it two stars as the manufacturer basically ignores emails. I would have been grateful had they just sent me instructions on how to remove and replace the connector - but to date - nothing. If you are one who requires a working product out of the box - you may want to look at the other options (none as good looking as this one - shame).

Not too long ago, I was given a 12-inch iPad Pro with Apple Pencil. Since I am an artist and love to draw, the upgrade with the Apple Pencil made it easier for me to transition to a digital format with my artwork. The wooden base is beautiful and the silicone mat does a good job of keeping the stand from slipping. On the front of the stand, there is a small light that shows when it’s charging. When I was charging the Apple Pencil, I never saw it turn green but it still worked nicely. The back of the stand has a Lightning port for connection to power. A standard Lightning cable — like the one that comes with an iPad — will work with it.The Oittm Desktop Apple Pencil Charging Stand is very useful. I love the way it stands out on my desk. It makes me happy knowing that now I can charge my Apple Pencil and not have to go searching for it later. It sits on my desk perfectly and makes things so much easier on me when I am doing my work. The Charging Dock for the Apple Pencil is Great, I prefer this over anything else.
