Good unit for multi-camera streaming and recording
I've used Tricaster Tek equipment for years while live streaming and recording our local church services. These units were excellent for our usage; but it is important to make sure your needs match the capabilities of this machine. Our set up was to have three cameras connected with a single sound feed coming in from a separate mixer board with 16 microphone connections. The director/operator would select the camera shot they wanted and this would be fed to the output stream and recorded on the internal hard drive. The keyboard controls work well (if you don't have the actual control panel) and we had no issues learning the key commands. Set up and internet configuration was not difficult, though you did need to know the configuration information for your streaming service. There was editing software included on our system as well, but I don't know that unit will have this and we didn't use the editing software for post production processing and library storage. What this will not do: You can't record multiple camera sources at the same time for later editing. What you can select one input for recording and easily switch between cameras, but what you choose is what is broadcast and what is recorded. There is no time delay for livestreaming. While you can have multiple audio inputs with individual volume controls as well as a master volume control, we found it easier to use a small side mixing board and have someone assigned just to do sound work separate from the video work. This gave a more consistent result as different people on the same microphone do not sound the same and it is distracting to have to switch cameras, anticipate the next camera angle, and adjust the sound for Ms. Shrinking Violet who followed Mr. Voce Bellows to th microphone. You can do overlays and our system allowed us to design our own overlays, however it was not very intuitive and I recommend reading the manual to avoid frustration. I don't know that all systems have the overlay design software either. We found that the unit would recognize and accept icons images (PNGOver all, this works very well, and can give very professional results if used well. While the system says it does only SD, we were able to do a 16:9 format that didn't look horrible. The selection of special effects for camera transitions is wide ranging and can be distracting if not used judiciously. As with any video system, the Director/Operator needs to be situationally aware to select the best camera angle for broadcast. I was very pleased with the performance of the unit both as a livestream and recording platform. I'm very sorry that Tricaster stopped supporting this as it has remained very popular with schools, churches, and other groups needing good, but basic, video coverage.

Very good 1080i item
I have this computer since 2014 and it is working well. It offers three HD-SDI 1080i inputs (unfortunatelly not 1080p), TV quality. Records only in MPEG-2 High Profile on a 1TB hard disk, which allows you to save about 20 hours of video. The technology is outdated, and Windows Vista (!!!) is installed on the computer, which no longer supports Microsoft. The computer sends stream on YouTube in max. 2 Mbits, but has an old Microsoft Explorer browser installed that does not properly connect to YouTube and other modern websites. I do not recommend buying this old model. Try to check newest one, like TriCaster 410.
