A little heavier than aluminum but it seems much sturdier. Also it's very thin when folded so it's very easy to store. I've only had it for a few days so I don't know about the long term performance but it looks well made and it's easy to use so I'm happy with it.

Fantastic ladder.I absolutely could not be any happier. This is a very. Safe and sturdy ladder and for the price it cannot be beat. I've been painting. For about 30 years have bought many ladders over. This is a fantastic unit for inside a house. Especially if you're gonna be working alone, it's very sturdy. And very safe. I highly recommend this latter. I can't say enough good things about this latter.In short it's nearly perfect. I'm painting the inside of my nephew's house. And it's so easy to carry so easy to set up and give so much support was just fabulous. I'm 71 years old. Not quite a surprise. I used to be and this letter gives me the confidence to work on my own.

L'escabeau est très stable et il est doté de quatre sabots antidérapants, il me paraît robuste et ses matériaux sont de qualité. Il est un peu dur à déplier, ce n'est pas un défaut car cela facilite son transport. On se sent à l'aise et en sécurité même sur la dernière marche. Il est parfait pour un usage en intérieur auquel je le destine dans une maison avec une hauteur de 2,5 m de plafond. Le plateau porte-outils est très pratique pour le bricolage et les travaux de peinture. Il pèse un peu plus de 8kg, cela contribue aussi à sa stabilité.

This is a sturdy ladder. I've had 2 strokes. The 2nd one hit my cerebellum (balance center) so I was worried about climbing a regular ladder. This is easy to fold and move, easy to put together, perfect height for my 9 foot and 8 foot ceilings, stable, and helps me feel safe. I also have stroke related pain and this helps because I have an actual step to stand on rather than a rung. I'm able to paint my entire house with this and I can shift my weight a little bit which helps reduce pain and allows me longer work days before my body wears out. It is a bit heavy but I'm able to move it around just fine, I do need help carrying it up and down stairs but I'm only 5'2". I wish I'd always used a ladder like this, even before the stroke. There are also plenty places to hold things like a hammer, drill, paint can, etc...
