Yes, you can tighten the grip by twisting forwards on any bar. I have a debilitating disorder that has rendered my right hand weakened and Death Grips allow me to continue my workouts and adjust to any bar. Great product - great price!

Can this be used for Olympic lifts?

We would only recommend using them for deadlifts, sumo deadlifts and heavy shrugs or back pulls using the barbell for Olympic style movements. Can also be used with dumbbells or pull machine for the same exercises.

Does getting a bigger size mean bigger rubber grips? The wrist fits good on me but I have bigger hands so my the grip only goes half way up my hand

You probably need to directly ask the manufacturer. However, the glove size chart appears to only be in reference to the size of your wrist to ensure the wrap-around Velcro wrist support slips through the guide properly and isn't too large or too small to properly & snugly clasp around your wrist. I bought the Medium sized gloves, and I can tell you the rubber grip portion that overlays my hand is plenty big - the area that contacts the barbell is approximately 3-1/2 inches wide at its maximum (i.e., it fully covers the width of my hand ), and it extends up to and 1/2-inch over the base of my middle and ring fingers when the wrist support is closed and moves up on my hand for gripping the barbell.

yes the key to getting it tight, is to use your finger to first pull it down and under, then you reach further out with your hand and grab and twist down. It should tighten and the palm peice will be all the way under your hand. It also can help if you tighten the wrist portion tight too before grabbing the bar. It will help with the extra slack.
