Well made system, quick and easy to assemble
As per a number of other reviewers of the thule systems I had initially been out off by the high cost of investing in the thule system when I only occasionally use a roof rack, mainly for cycle transport when boot in use. However after purchasing a vehicle specific generic model that I could then not get other pieces for to,adjust to new car the thule system looks like good value in terms of lasting many years / fitting alternative cars. These fix points are for cars with existing roof rails. They need to be purchased along with a vehicle specific adaptor and then the rails themselves, of which there are a few options.I purchased all the items for a audi a3 and found the set up and install very straight forward. All the items click together once set up which makes for easy dismantling / reassembly so you can easily store the separate items. All the components fell well made. Overall, very pleased with the purchase and recommend paying the extra for the system over other genric models if you plan to use for a number of years.

Thule - Great Quality
A pending camping trip to France and a new smaller car resulted in having to buy a roof box. So we looked everywhere for the best quality at a reasonable price and decided to go with Thule ones.Great quality, great security with keys and a spare set. I did struggle with fitting these to my car and I found the instructions to be a little bit complicated, but I don’t know if it was just me not reading them properly as when I asked for help they were fitted in no time.

Great product, rubbish instructions. Go online and watch a tutorial
Purchased as part of the entire kit for installing a roof box.The instructions are absolutely useless, don't even bother with those. Instead, find an installation video online! The feet do lock but if installed onto a flush roofbar, anyone with a star drive can simply unscrew them and lift off your car. However, this is a common design and we are looking forward to trying it out soon

I am pleased with the whole set-up
I purchased this foot pack along with the Thule 3118 fitting kit and Aero bars to fit my 2014 Honda CRV with flush roof rails. As per my separate review for the fitting kit, I am pleased with the whole set-up.Simple to assemble and set to the width of the car. By using an aftermarket ratchet driver and Torx bit, I can fit and remove the roof bar/foot pack/fitting kit assemblies from my vehicle in a couple of minutes.Whilst the foot pack is lockable, the logical way to remove and refit the whole set-up is to bolt and unbolt the fitting kit feet, so the lockable element of the foot pack is redundant in my opinion. The bolts securing the fitting kit to the vehicle roof rails are T30 tamper proof Torx bolts. They look like normal Torx head bolts but with a dimple in the centre so a standard T30 Torx bit won't go on. In theory anyone with the readily available tamper proof bit could remove the whole set up from your vehicle, whether the foot pack is locked or not. But in reality, the tamper evident bolts, along with the lockable foot pack, probably make the assembly secure to your average opportunist thief. The foot pack could be improved by incorporating a cover for the fitting kit bolt heads, that is removed with the locking cover, making it more secure.Overall I am pleased with this purchase and the above is just info for potential buyers.

Good Product - But Needed Additional Equipment
The product is of the usual high Thule standard. However it was unclear that additional fixing kit was required in order to fit the rack to the car (Vauxhall Zafira with flush mounted rails) unlike other Thule products which are all in one kits. This necessitated a rushed visit to Halfords at 5.15pm on a Saturday evening to buy the additional fixing kit in order that we could go on holidays next morning. Once the additional fixing kit was purchased it was easy to put together the two parts to make the full clamp. Delivery was a bit slow but this was probably due to 2 public holidays the week that the products were to be delivered. The Amazon description would need to be amended to make this clear.

the Thule system is really excellent. There is a bit of pondering over the ...
Once you've done the hours of research into the various different packs you need (we're using these on a 2009-2016 Peugeot 3008), the Thule system is really excellent. There is a bit of pondering over the instructions, but once you work it out it all does literally click into place. After carrying two bikes around the Highlands of Scotland I can say the whole system performed amazingly. Pricey, but we feel like it has given us great value.

Good product but don't forget the mounting kit
A good product but you need to buy the Thule 184022 mounting kit with it or it won't work. Otherwise you'll end up scratching your head like I did wondering how to fit it. With the mounting kit it's simple and effective. Fitted to a BMW F31 Touring.

Great Thule feet as expected
These do the job they are supposed to do with out any hassles! Fitted to and Audi A4 Avant, was expecting them to fit the rail dimples but they just grip the rail with rubber liners, very secure and won't damage anything if fitted correctly. Mounted my wingbars on them no problem.
