重装備のキャンプツーリングで年間10,000ｋｍを走る私にはパンクは悩みの種でしたが、旅先で出会った世界旅行の外国人からシュワルベマラソンの耐パンク性能の話を聞きました。それ以来、10,000ｋｍごとに交換しながら１０万キロほど走っていますが一度もパンクをしなくなりました。もちろんタイヤと同時にチューブも交換します。

20インチの車両でKENDAでしたっけ？摩耗により交換してもらいました。 自転車屋さんで交換して頂きました。乗り心地は改善され、空気圧高め使用と言う事も有りますが 気持ち良く通勤しています。 耐久性はこれからですね。 タイヤサイドの反射蛍光レタリングのおかげで、夜の横からの視認性は良いかと。

タイヤ交換が大変だと噂に聞いていましたが、それほど硬くもなく、多少は硬いけどパナのプラスチック製のタイヤレバーで交換作業は十分でした。 前のタイヤが「IRC メトロ」だったのですが、 >劣化に強く、丈夫で長持ち いいえ、走行７２０km程度で、外周の1PLY が剥がれて次の層が丸見えです。 あまりにも短命でした。 >軽い走行感を実現 いいえ、ねっとりとしたグリップ感でグリップは良いのですが、転がり抵抗が大きかったです。 こちらのマラソンは、IRC メトロ よりも安価で、寿命も期待できる良い製品だと思います。

2019/06/05に購入、折りたたみ自転車で2年程使いました。 転がり抵抗が少ないので走りやすく、剛性感のあるタイヤでした。 タイトル通り、ビードワックスを使ってもビートが上がりません。 2021/08/18に初のパンクを期に、ホームセンターの自転車屋に 修理を依頼しましたが、自転車屋でもビートを上げることが 出来なかったようです。 2年間ほぼ毎日ちょい乗りで使用しましたが、交換するのがもった いない位にトレッドの摩耗はほとんど無かったのですが、サイド ウォールの一部に摩耗があり、ビートも上がらなかったので新品 タイヤに交換しました。

Good grip with low rolling resistance, long lasting with good puncture resistance. Reflective strip also very visible. This is now the third set I've bought for my kids bikes, and I also buy the larger ones for my touring bike.

通勤に電動自転車を使っていますが、下り坂が多いため 今使っている同じシュワルベ・マラソンの緑の補強部分が出てきました。再度購入です。ミニベロタイプはタイヤの回転数が多いので、ブレーキ・タイヤなどの消耗は早いようです。

不良品が何度も送られてきたとのレビューを見て少々心配していたが、アタリが届けられたみたいだ。見た目もしっかりしていて高級感もある。リムに装着も普通に嵌めれた。今までが20×2.3だったので20×1.5はかなり見た目と乗り味とハンドリングが変わった。ゴツゴツ感が増したがイヤな振動ではない。転がり抵抗が減り登りもかなり楽になった。 追記☆他のタイヤと比べられないが、私の自転車にはタイト過ぎたかも。MTB購入して街乗り用に細いタイヤに交換し、MTB感がなくなって後悔するよくあるパターンですね。

Updated: April 2024: Superb tire. Wearing surprisingly well (perhaps better than the original version???). Still fast and yet I feel quite sure when cornering. Updated: September 2023 Be aware that I purchased what I thought was the original Marathon from rarwaves and what they sent was the Green Marathon. I am not necessarily complaining but it should be identified as such. I have ridden it once and it seems fine and the manufacturer says compared to the original Marathon the Green version has slightly better rolling resistance (less). I will write an updated review regarding this version's performance in the future. Original Marathon review: While the original Marathon lacks good all-weather capability and is quite unpredictable off-roads, it IS brilliant and very fast indeed on smooth and especially dry streets or sidewalks. Under those ideal circumstances it is very fast and quite responsive, not necessarily like glue responsive, but grippy enough. Really, if you are buying this tire you are not going to be cornering fast, since the main capability of this tire is riding absolutely perpendicular to the road surface and that means riding tall and straight. When doing so you will not only maximize the life of the tire, but also have a one of the best rolls of ALL tires. Add some gravel or water, and bets are off. That being said, with daily commutes it took me about 3 or 4 years to wear one down to the green protective layer on both sides of the wire bead and my ride does have some gravel, mud and broken ashphalt. The center bead while worn could probably be ridden another year or so safely (no water) without pushing the engineering limits of the tread. I did research this tire to death before I bought it initially and had talked to other riders, but I have had great experiences and probably should be compensated by Schwalbe for my write up but I have been so satisfied by its performance, I guess I won't complain, though it is a touch pricey at taxes in $56.50 CDN delivered standard. That was a fair bit over my limit but I bit the bullet none the less (and with the COVID-19 crunch still hitting hard in 2021, perhaps it wasn't such a terrible price). Absolutely do not pay more than that if non-Amazon sellers are scalping them upwards of 60 or above-then definitely look for other budget alternatives and buy the Marathons when prices are back to normal. (USD it is 31$) One of my favourites but nothing replaces a smart and careful rider.

I use these on my tadpole trike. Easy to change....20".....not sure why others are having issues as I didn't even need a tool to mount them. Getting them off the rim does require some technique.....I did bend a single metal tire lever! But these have good puncture resistance and good rolling resistance. Not as puncture resistant as the marathon plus tires, but not as stiff and they ride well.
