This is a can of tasty beans. Added to other things for a meal or just make a meal of these beans. There are no ingredients that take away the flavor. GOOD STUFF. I've been eating canned beans (Bush is top of the line) for 80 (eighty) plus years. I am a month away from a very healthy 90 years old, not that the beans had anything to do with longevity, but they are a staple in my life.

There is no pig lard in the list of ingredients. Ingredients: prepared red kidney beans, water, sugar, salt, dextrose, calcium chloride (firming agent), and disodium EDTA (to promote color retention).

I have ordered this many times. Usually I got at least a few dented cans, sometimes several. Sometimes I got lucky and there were no dented cans. Often I have had to throw away cans which appeared unsafe to eat. I have complained numerous times to amazon about this problem. They have never done anything to fix the issue. I continued to receive dented cans of this and other canned food products from amazon no matter how many times I complained. It is my opinion that amazon is incapable of ensuring the safe handling and delivery of canned goods. I therefore strongly advise against ordering any canned food products from amazon.
