We have regular clue and it just wasn't challenging enough. We bought this to make it a little more difficult. It's great. It has more rooms, people, and weapons. My husband used to be able to guess and win in about 10 minutes, now we can play longer and everyone has more of a chance of winning. The weapon pieces are well-made and heavy.

My students loved playing this game. Good for ages 8 and up. Great for family fun or game nights. Also, in school to help students work on critical thinking skills.

Pros:Everything!The game contents are great, it even comes with all metal weapon pieces, and the board is as good as the original.I love this re-release !Cons:NONE!Conclusion:I highly recommend this to anyone who loves classic board games, especially to Clue fans.I replaced the pawns with 'Clue People' some from an earlier version of standard Clue and others that I made myself with O Scale model railroad people. I replaced the dice with Skull dice, and the 'Case File' envelope with a tiny working briefcase that I slightly modified inside to fit the 'Case Cards' into it. I bought a second copy and did the same as a gift for my brother I loved it so much. This is the best Clue game yet! Up to 10 people can play, quality construction, more suspects, weapons and rooms. Great fun!

The thing I liked best about this version of the clue game is you can have more players. When we have get togethers we always have a few people left out because the original game can only have up to six players. This one allows 10 people to play. It has more suspects, more weapons, and more rooms. Our family really enjoyed playing it when everyone got together over the holidays.

As a longtime fan of Clue, I’ve often though there should be a bigger version of it with more rooms and more characters. In my mind, I envisioned creating some two story version in my spare time—which is ridiculous because I can’t see myself actually taking the time to do that. Fortunately, I discovered “Master Detective.” It adds some more rooms (including some outdoor spaces) and increase the number of characters and weapons. My family recently tried it out at my mother’s birthday and everyone enjoyed it. In fact, my dad was a little disappointed when I didn’t bring it over to their house when next we visited, but I promised it would make another appearance soon. If you like Clue, this is definitely worth getting—it does take longer to play, so factor that in. I’m interested to try this with more than 6 players (the limit of the original game) and see how it goes.

It’s exactly as I remember it except….The board folds up into a square (used to fold just once longwise), and the tokens are plastic (used to be wooden). Otherwise exactly the same as I remember it from the 90’s.

It was the version I was looking for. My only gripe is that the character pieces are plastic instead of wood like I had and there's no place for notes on the sheets. Otherwise everything looks great, I'm gonna just make my own character pieces bc I don't like the plastic. The metal weapons look great though, the metal looked exactly like the older versions.
