My unit has a very effective sear station on the left side shelf of the BBQ. My model number is PRO500-3

Q: Has anyone used a power inverter and battery to power lights?

It shouldn't be an issue everything but the rotisserie motor is low-voltage.

Q: What would i need if my natural gas connection is 1/2 ?inch

If your connection is threaded, you are all set. The grill comes with a quick connect that screws onto your 1/2 inch pipe.
