Q: How big is this comparing to the Swimways Original and other torpedos?

They are approx 5 inches long and sink quickly. I bought them as bath toys and swimming trainers for a two year old and four year olds. They love them in the tub and in the pool. Easy to grasp for smaller hands. Also bought some starfish which they love.

Q: How big are these when compared to the Swimways Original and other pool torpedos?

The ones I ordered are 5” long and about 1” wide at widest. Cannot compare to another brand but these have provided a few years (& still using) of fun. They squirm through the water and then settle on bottom.

Q: Are the solid or hollowed out?

They are solid, so they will not float to the top.

Q: For a Golden Retriever that loves diving underwater for moving objects, would this work?

They sink, so yes while they are moving, however if the dog is a big chewer and has difficulty with fetching and returning on command they will become another chew toy.
