I bought this purse about 8 months ago and I always come back to it. I wanted a purse that had soft leather (although I love the look of saffiano leather, I feel like I spend a lot of time holding my purse in my lap when I'm out) but was still structured, and I was looking for one with feet so that the bottom would not get dirty when I set it down in public places. I will say first that the feet do little to nothing to keep the bottom of the purse from touching the ground, since they are set more towards the center of the bag rather than at its corners, so the sides of the bag will kind of droop over them and touch the ground, even though it is not by any means a saggy bag, as it will stand up straight when you set it down.Besides that, though, this purse is definitely structured enough to keep its shape as long as you store it correctly with the tissue paper stuffing that comes with it and don't put heavy things on top of it. The leather is thick and soft. I got mine in black, and it (along with the other colors, I believe) has a coating that gives it a nice glittery sheen when in direct light. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about this, but it does not look glittery at all from afar, and you can only really see this when the light hits at the right angle. I think it's a nice touch to make the purse look less mundane, since it is otherwise pretty much a black, rectangular purse. When worn, I think the purse dresses up any outfit, but does not look too incongruous when worn with casual outfits.Mine still smells like leather even though I've had it for a while. I waterproofed and conditioned mine when I first got it, but since then I have not really babied it at all, and mine looks exactly like it did when I got it, despite frequent use. It might be partially due to the fact that I got the black color, but I have probably brushed against tons of things while wearing this purse, and nothing has left so much as a mark on my bag, let alone a scratch. I have unceremoniously stuffed it full and lugged it around with me, and it isn't any worse for wear. The dye has never rubbed off on my clothes.However, I do have to mention that my bag was a little squished coming from Amazon, and it didn't stand up super straight. I had to stuff it and leave it for days, and luckily that worked for me. I also had a problem where I tugged gently on a loose thread in the inside lining, and the stitching actually came undone. This was inside the back zip pocket that I don't use that much, but I was not pleased at this, and I think it speaks to Kate Spade's manufacturing quality control. I have been satisfied with the leather quality and overall durability, though.I go back and forth between thinking the small gold chains on the straps are a little tacky and thinking they are just decorative enough to dress things up. Regardless, the chains definitely will add a bit of weight compared to bags without a lot of hardware. The hardware itself is still shiny and light gold plated, and it has not tarnished at all in my 8 months of owning this purse. And although there is a bit of hardware, I find that, because of its size, this is not a heavy purse. It definitely will be heavier than bags made of nylon, for instance, but the empty bag itself does not cut into my shoulder at all, nor does it feel noticeably weighty. If you are just carrying your phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses, weight probably will not be an issue. It is only when I start adding my portable phone charger and other electronics that the bag starts feeling heavy.Even so, the flat straps definitely help with it not cutting into your shoulder, and I find that flat straps do not slide off my shoulder as frequently as rounded ones do. Also, the strap drop for me is really a perfect length. It is long enough for me to put it on my shoulder using only one hand, which is really convenient. I am 5'3" and the bottom of the bag hits just by my hipbone. This small size holds more than most crossbody purses but still does not overwhelm my small frame. I also really like that there is a magnetic-closure pocket on the back outer side of the purse, which is deep enough to fit an iPhone 6+ on its side. Usually, I just drop my phone in and the magnet will snap together without me having to do anything else, so it's great for easy access if you use it for your phone.Inside, the black version has a light gold polyester lining with a gold dot pattern. I like that the light color allows me to see easily what is inside. The carrying capacity is not that great compared to similarly sized purses, mainly because there is a divider zip pocket in the middle which greatly limits the thickness of what you can put on either side. This may or may not be an issue for you depending on what you carry. If you were to try to fit a large apple, for instance, or something equally wide and spherical shaped, it would definitely create a bulge in the side of the purse, or it would "push" the center divider zip pocket into the other half so that you could not fit as much in there. You probably could not fit a normal sized winter scarf in one side without the bag looking overstuffed. On the plus side, this is obviously great if you like to keep some items separated from others. Realistically, you probably have about 2" of space on either side of the divider without the purse looking bulky from the outside.The center divider zip pocket itself is pretty spacious depthwise, but lengthwise, you might want to go to a store and see if it will fit your wallet if you use one of those long zip-around styles. I have a small wallet, so this is not an issue for me, but none of the zip around wallets that I own would fit in the center pocket. It doesn't really span the whole length of the purse. Besides this zip pocket, there is one other smaller zip pocket on the inner "back" side of the purse, which is where the Kate Spade care card, etc. is usually found. This pocket is probably about 5" long by 3.5" deep. Other than that, there are two unzippered pockets on the "front" inside of the purse, both of which can fit an iPhone 6 (not Plus) pretty perfectly, but no more than that. Each side of the divider is long/wide enough to fit a sheet of standard printer paper folded in half horizontally. Also notable is that the lining of the middle zip pocket can be flipped inside out for spot cleaning, but the lining in the rest of the purse cannot, as far as I know.There is also a newer version of this purse that is quilted, as well as a non-quilted newer version, that both have the chains attached directly to the purse on the outside, rather than how this one's chains run through the metal squares and are attached by a leather strap sewn onto the inside. While I prefer the more modern look of the new versions, I think that the way the straps are attached on this one makes me worry less that they will fail under weight strain, and if they do, that it will be an easier fix.Overall, I am super satisfied with this purse. Despite some clear capacity limitations, it fits all of my needs, it is a pretty classically shaped purse appropriate for almost any occasion, and it has held up really well considering I have been using it as my main purse these past 8 months. I love the size of this purse and the fact that it is a cute, functional everyday bag that I don't have to worry too much about maintaining. I would definitely recommend it if it fits your needs.

Love this purse. True to the spec size, a great size for me. Love the color, not so pink in real life, more of a burgundy with a slight shimmer to it. The leather smell was intoxicating. The interior is a pretty cream with gold Kate Spade accents. Very durable. I've owned this purse for 6 months, and I'm not kind to my purses (I'm not a girlie girl -- this is actually my first "real" every day purse). This purse has weathered my abuse well, with no tears or wear spots yet, despite the deep burgundy color.

I got this in black, pictures are not misleading. Beautiful, great size, the leather is soft, flexible, and has a subtle shimmer to it. Also really pleased that the leather smell isn't strong. The straps are the perfect length for going over the shoulder. It even came with a fabric drawstring pouch to put the purse in during storage. Would buy this time and time again. Couldn't be happier!

This is one gorgeous handbag. The leather is luxurious and the bag is comfortable to wear over my shoulder. There's just enough room for my stuff, but if you carry a lot, this bag may be too small. There is a middle zippered compartment where I keep my wallet since the purse closes with just a magnetic snap at the top. It's a dressy looking purse, but still looks good with casual clothes. I just love mine.

This bag is so beautiful! It's pretty in pictures but in real life it's just gorgeous. The leather is so soft, but the bag has good structure to it. I have a slightly full (aka fat) Newbury Lane Cara wallet and it fits just fine on either side of the divider. I think the name 'small' is a misnomer because this purse is a nice medium sized tote. You'd only need the big version of you carry a lot of extra things in your bag (like if you are a mom carrying extra stuff your kids might need). Mine came in a box and included the storage sack as a previous reviewer stated. It does have a very slight bulge on the back right seam and back top seam, but nothing that couldn't be corrected easily by applying some weight for a brief time... Definitely nothing worth returning for. Overall it's a beautiful bag worth every penny I paid for it.

Perfect bag, the leather is very soft, thick, luxurious, great quality, has some shimmer (I bought this bag for interviews, and I was initially concerned about it), but the shimmers are subtle. Love the bag, no strong smell in mine. The magnetic snap at the top is positioned in such a way that it doesnot open up by itself (unlike my previous bag). It's on the heavier side, but that's ok with me. Hold all the things I need to carry for work.Overall, I love this bag.

I absolutely LOVE this bag. The color is more of a melon than red but it is beautiful. The leather is so soft and I get compliments on it all the time. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I don't think you will be disappointment. It holds more stuff than you think.
