Great Pencils
I needed a white pencil I could use to sketch on black canvas. The lead is soft enough to do a good job and the marks erase easily once painting is done. Recommended.

Not what it seems.
I intended to purchase charcoal pencils in white for art. When the box arrived, the leads were more pastel and very hard. When tested on black paper, the white was not bright. I pulled out another charcoal white pencil from another brand and it was bright and soft as desired. The labeling for this product says “white charcoal drawing pencils set” in the description. This is not what I received.

I Dare You to Sharpen One
What I don't like is that there seems no way to get a point on these twelve pencils I just bought. Tried a Derwent sharpener, a long point sharpener made for fragile colored pencils, I broke out the standard hand sharpener and then a razor blade. No deal. Just cracks off at the base. These pencils are useless to me.

Sharpens easily
I paint rocks as a hobby. Often I use Black paint as a base coat, which makes using a lead pencil to draw a design very difficult. Using a white charcoal pencil solved that problem. They aren't sharpened when I received them a worried they wouldn't get a good fine point when I sharpened one. But, I did, and it is as easy to use as a regular lead pencil. Nice!

Im very happy with my choice
Seems to be pretty nice quality.. use knife to sharpen, I learned that really quick. My 1st try with white.. Shows really well on unused portion of paper, any color. Won't show over any previous markings.. Over all I'm satisfied.

Does not work for me
I bought it to mark lines on a wood. Does not work - especially along the grains. It starts to draw a line, then it become as small stone at the tip and start scratch, instead of making lines.

An important part of my drawing kit.
I enjoy using these charcoal pencils and would buy them again.
