Great for adding holes to belts.
Though I don't believe this tool was designed for punching additional holes in belts; (I think it's a metal punch) it's very effective for this and can easily punch holes in belts of any thickness. Although practice to understand how it works is required. It's not too complicated to swap out the punches. But it is a bit awkward. Very sturdy tool. Could punch holes in multiple types of material.

Good Value
It's fine and meets my needs for a light sheet metal punch and saves lots of time.

Excellent Fabrication Tool
Awesome product at a great price! I do a lot of aluminum panel fabrication and holding a drill for hours becomes cumbersome. This is a tool I’ve been needing for years and I’m glad I finally pulled the trigger on this one. The adjustable depth gauge makes it really easy to do a ton of holes around the edge of a panel quickly and accurately. I like that this tool came in a hard case with a spot for each of the dies. I would reccomend this punch to anybody who is looking to save time in their fabrication process.

A nice punch well worth the money
If you want to punch holes in soft copper, brass, aluminum, or some other type of sheet metal that of a reasonably thin gauge this thing is the ticket. It will punch nice clean holes of several different sizes through reasonably sized thicknesses of metals which are not hardened. Don’t try to punch through hard steel or something like that. This is a tool that should last a lifetime unless you’re using it in a commercial setting in which case you eventually might wear out the dies after years of use.

Will get the job done
Pros * Decent range of punch sizes; note that they are really in metric not imperial * Quite easy to change the punches and dies; I was swapping them by hand, no need for additional tools * Easy to adjust the die height such that you can easily clear it of the punched metal after each operation * Punch removes itself from the metal about as well as any punch in this price range; i.e., you may have to fight a little but you can get it back out in 15 seconds or less * Really can punch up to at least 16 gauge; I was punching 304 stainless steel sheet which was asking quite a lot of the tool, but I could indeed do it with a little assist (vise) Cons * No registration marks on the punch's head; makes alignment of the punch and sheet metal less precise than it should be; for me this is a significant oversight; as the main body of the punch tool is cast steel, this is something which might need to be machined post casting but not a big deal as they're doing other post casting steps already (e.g., tapping threads) * Throat depth setting is somewhat imprecise; needs a screw driver to tighten sufficiently -- having a thumb screw or wing nut would be better; also when tightening down, it tends to tilt in the direction you are tightening -- there's nothing to prevent it from tilting and you then end up with more than 0.1" in variability as you push stock up against it (angle of approach of the stock will determine how much variability you see) * Grip material isn't terribly sturdy; I managed to tear it on both handles in my first usage (recall, I was pushing the punch's limits with 16 gauge 304 ss sheet) * Punch & die sizes aren't marked/stamped on the punches & dies; this is a nice-to-have and as I usually have calipers at hand, not a significant downside Overall, this punch gets the job done for a relatively modest price. For softer steel (e.g., 20 gauge galvanized sheet), this punch works really quite well. 4 out of 5 stars owing to the lack of registration marks on the punch head and the suboptimal throat depth adjustment. Without such registration marks, it's more difficult to align the punch exactly where you want it.

A Must Have hole punch...
(1) Nice tool. (2) Tool is a little tricky, or clumsy, until you do a few holes. (3) Once you get the feel, this tool is extremely good, and totally recommended. (4) Tool comes with a wide assortment of hole dies. (5) I just tried to punch a hole into a copper penny (about 14 ga thickness 0.078 inches) and it was a real struggle. (6) Some have asked about Stainless Steel military dog tags, which are 0.0625 inches, of which I would look for a punch made for 14 ga (0.078 inches) to 16 ga (0.0625 inches) Steel or Stainless Steel. Also, the punch should have a cutting edge (a slight angle on the end to cut into metal before making the hole), not a flat edge. Flat edge on end of punch is good for aluminum and sheet metal up to 16 ga.

Cuts nice clean holes
Thankfully there was a case. All the small components were falling out. The handpiece seems rather loose (maybe its supposed to be). Cumbersome to have to partially disassemble in order to select a different size punch and die. It does cut very nice clean holes. So far tested it on very thin sheet metal (rain gutter material). The real test will be on 24ga sheet metal.
