TETON Sports Tarp/Shelter/Poncho, Orange, 104" x 56" x 0.2"

I set this up on the ground with 7 stakes, a section of Weanas tent pole (you can make 4 of those poles from one kit, for about $25). I also use some line to it hang between trees for use over a hammock (it covers a wise owl ultralight hammock beautifully), and a few mini carabiners to hold it together as a poncho/pack cover. Set up as seen in the photos, it fits a Gear Doctors Apollo Air pad nicely. With stakes, pole, ridge line, carabiners, and a polycryo ground sheet stuffed in the included mesh bag, the whole package weighs 1lb 4ounces. It's a great, useful and effective multipurpose product, for very little money compared to anything else on the market.

Got soaked like I was wearing a cotton sheet the first time I used it. Washed it on delicate, air dried, and sprayed it with some camp dry, worked fine after that. Since water proofing it, it has been used as both a shelter and rain poncho and did well at both. I particularly like the sewn in tie down loops for pulling tight(ish) as a shelter. Super light weight, perfect for a pack especially as it performs double duty. 3 stars overall, and 1 star for water resistance because it should have been water proof right out of the box - I should not have had to camp dry it. BUT - has worked great since treating it myself. Perhaps mine missed a process in manufacturing?TL;DR - Worked great, but not until AFTER I waterproofed it myself with camp dry...

Cheap. Lightweight. Flexible. Used this for tarp camping and as a poncho. Seems like it does both jobs well. As part of a flexible, ultralight kit this is pretty sweet. If you're like me in trying out such schemes, I recommend this as a great place to start; I have no regrets.

Amazing product! I used it for extra coverage at entrance of my tent. make sure u buy a couple strings to set it up! I put it on thru my hike cause it rained (it took me a couple tries to figure out some foldings to make sure it covered the open sides) and it worked fanstastic as well! so versatile!

My son loves this for his pack. He likes that it's big enough to cover the pack, quick and easy to use, can be used as a tarp for under a tent, or as a tent with a treking pole. Nice job on a 3-in one product.

It's a good poncho and packs down good.These are great kayaking and backpacking because you can put it on over the top of your PFD or pack... the shelter function is pretty limited but you could use it to setup your camp stove or gear out of the wind and rain

This is a GREAT PONCHO. All the features of much higher priced. Tie outs where needed, top Quality build. Full coverage as a tarp and poncho.

Haven’t used it yet but initially it looks like it will do what I expect it to which is keep me dry during a heavy rain on the trail and create a dry space outside of a tent for gear storage

Good idea and is built well. The only time I used it the rain and wind were pretty bad. It doesn’t have any strap or way of tiring it closed. How about a strap/ compression device

The poncho seems to be everything advertised, and I am happy with it.The delivery person left the item outside my garage, and did not ring our bell. We received 4 packages today, we were at home for all, but this one had a lazy driver. It could easily have been stolen.

Likely a good emergency tarp as well as a poncho but chose to return it primarily because there’s no way to close it up around you in the event of a windy rain day
