Q: So how does the Warranty work on the international version of these headphones?

I believe that some of the sellers of the international version offer a 1 year warranty. I registered them with Sony, just like any other pair, so they might cover them here if needed. I have never had a warranty issue with any headphone I've purchased and I hope that these will be OK. They just tend to wear out over time (beyond 1 year).

Q: What is the difference between the International version and the regular MDR-1A?

The US version is 24ohms. The international is 48 which is actually better but to get the 1.5 W power out of it, you need a headphone amp.

Q: So I bought one of these and the left ear has a gray circle and the red has a red, is this normal? I just want to make sure I didn't get a fake.

if you mean the right and left symbols that are used to indicate which side is which... then yeah, one is red and the other one is grey
