Fantastic
I read this aloud with my almost 6 year old and she absolutely loved it. My 4 year old sat in at times and enjoyed the general world of the story but excused himself at the suspenseful parts. This was perfect for our first real chapter book read aloud!! We cannot wait for the next books in the series. And check out the adorable website- it has tons of fun role play Printable.

Buy this book, it’s the sweetest for girls & boys
Absolutely LOVE this book. It’s such a sweet story and my 8 year old boys and I enjoyed reading it together at bedtime. Already ordered the series. Best $6 spent on a book.

Sweet story of love and how it can transform a community.
Such a sweet story. Subtle foreshadowing allows the kids to guess at connections between characters. A great embodiment of how one person full of love can transform and infect a whole community. We've already ordered the second one in the series because my kids were begging for it. Great read aloud for younger ages, but probably second or third grade level for independent reading.

Redwall Rip-off
Easy to read. But. It copycats Redwall way too much. Mona the orphaned mouse wearing an apron too big for her compared to Mathias the orphaned mouse (names both start with M) whose habit was too big for him. Constance the mother badger of Redwall vs. the head of the hotel is a badger. The Hotel that keeps woodland animals safe just like Redwall Abbey. Also, the stories both showcase a feast within the first few chapters.

Cute read for Animal lovers!
This book is such a cute story! My 6yo loves animals so that made it even more enjoyable for him. The adventure and mystery kept him wanting one more chapter! I love the lessons of friendship, kindness, and not judging others based on appearances. Definitely recommend for early elementary students!

Such a great book and my hard to please readers loved it!!
There are some good kids books out there, but honestly if they come to a part where it’s slow, a lot of kids lose interest and move on. This book is an easy read, NOT boring. They want to read “Diary of a wimpy kid” books so I was thrilled that they loved this book! Books are not always cheap, especially hardcover, so this was a gamble that paid off! Also it would be a good choice for parents reading out loud. -From a pleasantly surprised mom:)

Charming
I read this with my son, who is seven. The characters are sweet, the tale is charming, and it has just enough excitement to keep a kid interested. Good for a calm bed time read.

Great book to read, my daughter and I loved it
This is a great book, and the plot is easy to follow. My daughter is into animals and fantasy lately and this fits the bill. It discusses topics about loss, about bravery and trying to find your place in a big world.

7 year old reading independently and happily
My 7 year old son has been reading this book independently and seems to enjoy the story line quite a bit. I plan to buy the next book in the series for him.
