40 Great Stained Glass Projects

This book has some really nice projects in it. The directions are very thorough and easy to understand.

Multiple small quick projects as well as more time consuming. Direction and tips are helpful and have clear instructions as well as pictures Two pull out pattern papers as shown in the first picture are printed on both sides. Pages 164-200 are just patterns. There are patterns for glass boxes, photo frames, candle holders, garden structures as well as small beveled glass hangers. This list is not inclusive. Variations on using hinges as well as basic glass building skills are taught in a simple understandable manner. The concepts taught can be creatively used in projects beyond this book.I would recommend for any beginner or intermediate stained glass artist desiring to expand their current repertoire.

Really liked this book had a wide variety of projects to choose from.

The instruction in the book is well done. Plenty of photos to assist those who are new to the art of stained glass, as I am. I really like the choices and most of the designs are easy enough for a beginner.

This book is so well written and really a must for anyone new to stained glass art. There are pull out full size patterns, well done Stackpole Books, which makes copies of the pattern easily accomplished. The supplies needed, and why, are well explained with photographs. Every step in creating your glass project is demonstrated in pictures and easily understood instruction. I have taken a few years of classes and confess to learned so much from the author, Michael Johnston. I heartily recommend this book to anyone interested in stained glass. Money well spent.

Very well put together book for doing stain glass. Good instructions and beautiful pictures. Can't wait to try some of the projects out.

Have to agree with a few other reviewers - not really 40 project, just a few project re-worked.

I just love this book! It has great projects and very good ideas. In first few pages he shows you skills you must know to complete the projects. I wish all books had this. All color pictures and easy directions. It also includes full size patterns.

Great collection of beginner style patterns all the way up to some challenging ones. Great variety as well...not just the old patterns that you see everywhere.

Just started reading this book it's very interesting looking forward to making some items from it
