Manufacturer has some care recommendations, but I just hose it off when the birds are rude to her. Otherwise, nothing special to do. Extreme heat and cold will affect the material she is made of, and therefore, she won't last forever. It's a pretty piece while it lasts.

It is better suited to the: Design Toscano NG314100 - Large Classic Plinth It will also fit on any of the following Design Toscano Plinths: Classical Fluted Plinth (KY2273), Roman Column Plinth (NE60510), Rococo Plinth (KY0631), Grand English Rosette Plinth (CL5193), Grande Laurel Plinth (KY3917), Grand Garden English Plinth (NE140502)and Lion of Florence Sentinel Base (KY727)

Mine fell only twice in very high winds, but it wasn't affixed to anything to mount it. I would think filling it would render it susceptible to rot.
