It depends on which heat setting the device is set at. At the highest setting (430) it take about 1 minute and 30 seconds.

I have the regular barrel and love it. Is the extended barrel worth splashing out? I have 24 inch extensions does it really make it quicker?

Yeah, I think so. Longer barrel mean more hair at one time. I love the extended barrel for me personally.
