2002 Yamaha V-Star Custom 1100cc
Installed it July 15, 2023. Cranks up beautifully and heavy duty. Hopefully it will last for years. My concern there’s a gap. My original starter is fits perfectly without any gap. Hopefully doesn’t become a problem in the future. I’ll keep update. I’ll still give it a 5/5. Even with a gap. As long it starts and no issue I am good.

Great but .... remanufactured...?
This is a gorgeous working yamaha starter that turns out I didn't need. But heck. Seller doesn't pay the price for my mistake ;) I'll keep it in the spare parts bin ;)Tested it on the bench. Works beautifully.New though? I doubt that. It's a very good rebuild.I know I've prolly voided my warranty but I went ahead and opened it up.Commuter has been refinished and brushes are reconditioned along with their mount plate.However! Don't shy away. For the price this was a GREAT deal.I have no remorse and I would buy from this seller again. ;)
